Many companies including me had previously been optimistic about that sporting event in the Land of the Cherry Blossoms. As mentioned before, we had a long and pleasant cooperation with the local trading corporations. They paid on time and wouldn't easily switch suppliers over a few cents. For them, accumulated time and trust were important. By the way, this time the trading corporation also ordered a large quantity of accessories from me. They always preferred many styles in small quantities, then wholesaling them to different local brands, from high-end department stores to street-side shops.
Truly, man proposes, God disposes. The pandemic turned the globalized market into isolated nations with closed borders. Tens of thousands of accessories sitting in inventory was undoubtedly another heavy blow to me!
