Chapter 3 - chapter 3 How I Found Out His Name

After that day, almost a whole week passed. Every day felt normal from the outside, but inside me everything was different.

I kept seeing him—always in the same place.

The dining hall.

Whenever we girls entered from our side, my eyes would automatically drift toward the boys' section. Even though a big window stood between both sides, I always managed to spot him. Sometimes he was talking with his friends, sometimes quietly eating, and sometimes sitting with that calm, serious look. I don't even know why but just seeing him made my heart feel strangely happy.

But that was all—just looking at him from far away.

I didn't know his name, his class… nothing.

And I was too shy to ask anyone, so I tried to ignore my thoughts.

But my mind didn't listen.

Then one day something completely unexpected happened.

We were in the study hall, sitting with our books open, pretending to focus. Everyone was quiet, busy writing or staring at their notebooks. I was lost in my own thoughts when the door suddenly opened.

He walked in.

For a moment, I couldn't believe my eyes.

He stood there holding a notebook, looking slightly rushed.

He went straight to ma'am to hand over his copy—maybe homework, maybe correction, I wasn't sure.

I just stared at him quietly, my heartbeat speeding up without any warning.

When he turned to leave, ma'am called out his name.

That was the first time I heard it—his real name.

It echoed inside my mind like a soft whisper I never wanted to forget.

Someone beside me murmured,

"He's from the senior class… one class above us."

I felt my breath caught for a second.

So he wasn't just a random boy from the dining hall—he was actually my senior.

Hearing that made something warm spread inside my chest.

A mix of nervousness, excitement, and a strange happiness I couldn't explain.

Even after he left the room, my mind kept replaying the moment—

the way he walked in, the way ma'am said his name, the way I finally learned something real about him.

From that day on, his name became my favourite little secret.
