Chapter 11 - 11

It didn't take long for Colin to receive the private detective's investigation report.

This Billy was once a student at the Massachusetts Police Academy, one year his junior, but he was expelled for a vicious assault case.

Seeing this, Colin had already cursed the pawn shop several times in his heart, but he still held back and continued reading.

Aside from his deceased father and mother, all of Billy's relatives were criminals.

Billy's parents were a combination of a poor boy and a rich young lady, but it didn't last; their family broke up shortly after he was born.

He grew up in a middle-class neighborhood and would come to accompany his father every weekend.

Soon after entering the police academy, perhaps inheriting his family's genes, he was expelled for fighting.

After leaving the police academy, he first followed his cousin selling noodles, then was recruited by Frank.

F-u-c-k!!!!

He went from being an undercover agent sent by Frank into the police force to becoming Frank's subordinate.

It was simply a huge detour, returning to the life trajectory he had before being sent to the police force.

He recalled the clause in the contract that he hadn't paid attention to at the time: once pawned, no redemption would be accepted.

Colin's expression kept changing, and finally, he could only comfort himself that at least now he could sleep soundly without worrying about his identity being exposed.

Heh heh, from half-human, half-ghost, he had completely become a ghost.

His original life could no longer be redeemed.

Now there was only one path left for him to take: to rekindle his childhood ambition and become someone like Frank.

Controlling the underworld of South Boston didn't seem too bad.

After lighting the investigation report and flushing it down the toilet, Colin got up and went out.

He hadn't gone anywhere these past few days while waiting for the report.

During this time, he received several vague, incomplete phone calls, which he brushed off.

Some of these might have been calls from Frank summoning him.

He needed to get back to Frank's side quickly.

Just as he turned into a street, he was blocked by two people.

"Captain..."

It was Captain Quinnan of the Special Investigation Team and his Deputy Dickman.

Colin started to speak but then remembered that his current identity was not a police officer, so he swallowed the rest of his words.

Why were they looking for him? Had this identity committed something more serious that required these two high-ranking police officers to appear?

"Hands up, legs spread!"

Colin knew these two; Captain Quinnan was cunning and profound, and Deputy Dickman was ruthless. Neither of them was easy to deal with.

If he didn't comply, he would suffer a lot.

So he obediently raised his hands and turned his back to them.

Colin's body was quickly pushed against the wall.

"Are you so great? You broke Jimmy's jaw! He's an undercover agent for the Boston Police Department!"

Jimmy?

He had beaten an undercover agent?

No, that Billy had beaten an undercover agent?

Damn it!

What other damned things did that guy do that he didn't know about?

Colin felt like he had married a wife only to discover she was a call girl.

Damn feeling!

"You need to understand your identity. You are not a real gangster; you are an undercover agent for the Massachusetts Police Department. Do you know how much effort I spent to suppress the fact that you injured a Boston Police Department undercover agent?" (Boston is the capital city of Massachusetts; state police and city police are different systems.)

Deputy Dickman's storm-like voice almost suffocated Colin.

Undercover?

That Billy, he was actually an undercover agent?

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!

Deputy Dickman became even more furious when he saw Colin laughing.

"You need to remember, you signed the documents. Only the two of us know you're a police officer. We can delete your file. Once your file is deleted, you'll just be one of Frank's dogs, and you'll be waiting to be arrested. I don't even know how many crimes you've committed?"

Colin was deaf to Deputy Dickman's words now.

His current feeling was too terrible.

It was like marrying a wife, only to find out she was not only a call girl but also a transvestite.

This bitter sweetness made him almost lose control.

A crazy idea even began to sprout in his mind: to kill these two police officers who knew his undercover identity, then no one would ever know his identity.

Fortunately, Captain Quinnan noticed Colin's distress and comforted him, "Don't take it to heart; he's just joking. You need to hold on, just for a little longer, and you'll succeed. As long as Frank is taken down, you'll be free."

Yes, yes, take down Frank.

Colin felt as if he had grasped a life raft.

As long as Frank was taken care of, this damned undercover identity would be gone, and he could return to being a state police officer again.

It might even be better than his original status.

"Then quickly arrest him! I know he killed someone! He's done a lot of things!" Colin said eagerly.

"But we have no evidence!" Captain Quinnan said helplessly.

"That's because someone is tipping him off!" Colin blurted out in desperation.

Captain Quinnan suddenly turned Colin around and asked seriously, "What have you heard? Do you know Frank has an undercover agent planted in the police force?"

At this moment, a calmer Colin hesitated. If he exposed Billy, who now had his identity, would the other party bite him back?

If it were him, he definitely would.

Colin could only change his words, "I just felt something was wrong; I was guessing."

Captain Quinnan was immediately disappointed; he thought Colin knew some inside information.

"Listen, you need to stay vigilant. Our several operations have failed, and we are still looking for the reason. We suspect that the FBI in the team is dealing with him and tipping him off, but we also can't rule out an undercover agent."

Colin decided not to expose Billy's identity.

He nodded, "I'll be careful."

---

Billy had been more comfortable than ever recently.

He slept soundly, ate a lot, and worked long hours.

He no longer had to worry and lose sleep, no longer had to fear his identity being exposed and being killed by Frank.

Now he was an elite in the police force, the star of hope in everyone's eyes.

He walked with his back straight wherever he went, enjoying the envious looks of others.

It was damn awesome!

He subconsciously looked at Su Wei, who was flirting with a female colleague next to him.

Previously, Billy, having grown up in a dual environment and with his family's decline, had not made any close friends.

Now, having this good friend, he felt very good.

It was just that this guy was a bit of a chatterbox.

But thanks to this, he learned a lot about this identity's stories and habits, thereby integrating into this life more quickly without arousing any suspicion.

Billy planned to find the psychologist he met while undercover and ask her out on a date.

A movie or dinner?

Just then, his phone suddenly rang.

"Old... man?"

Billy frowned. The number marked on his phone was 'Old Man,' but wasn't Colin's father, in this identity, already dead?

"Hello?"

"My dear Colin, if it's inconvenient for you to speak, just listen to me. Next week I'll have a big deal, and I need you to find a way to help me bypass police surveillance."

It was Frank!!!!

Billy was all too familiar with that voice.

This Colin was a dirty cop?

This couldn't be true!!!!!!!!

F-U-C-K!
