Chapter 8 - Sengoku’s Fury, the Evolution of the Tobi Roppo!

Marine Headquarters — Marineford

In the Fleet Admiral's office, papers were flying.

Sengoku the Buddha — the strategist once feared across every sea — slammed a report onto his desk, his voice shaking the room.

"That damned dragon Kaido — what is he planning?! Is he trying to start a war?!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru looked up from her tea, startled. It was rare to see Sengoku lose his composure. For him to be this angry, the New World must have erupted.

"What happened?" she asked calmly.

Sengoku threw her the report.

At the side, Vice Admiral Garp leaned forward with a mouthful of senbei, crumbs falling on the paper.

But as soon as he read it, even his grin disappeared.

"The Beasts Pirates… have attacked ten Marine strongholds?!"

Both Garp and Tsuru froze, eyes widening.

Had Kaido gone insane?

"It's not just us," Sengoku said grimly. "They've raided pirate fleets too — even one of Whitebeard's ships."

That left all three veterans silent. The room grew heavy with disbelief.

What in the world was Kaido thinking?

After a long moment, Tsuru finally spoke, her mind already piecing together possible motives.

"Judging from the reports, they've only taken treasure. Could it be they're funding a large-scale purchase from the black market? Perhaps weapons?"

"Could be," Garp muttered. "Those underworld rats would sell anything for a price. Maybe Kaido found someone building a weapon of mass destruction."

Sengoku shook his head.

"It's all speculation. We have no solid intel — Wano's borders are still sealed. We can't get agents inside."

Tsuru's eyes narrowed. Then she stood.

"Then I'll go myself."

The two men blinked.

"We can't just sit here while the Beasts Pirates plunder freely. Even if I can't uncover their true motive, I'll make sure the Marines stop bleeding men and bases."

Sengoku hesitated only briefly before nodding.

"Very well, Tsuru. Be careful out there."

Garp sighed, leaning back.

He was stronger than her, sure — but he was blunt, reckless, and hopeless at stealth. Tsuru, with her mind and composure, was the right one for the job.

"Then it's settled," Sengoku said solemnly. "Go bring me answers, Tsuru."

On Onigashima

Meanwhile, deep within Kaido's fortress, the Tobi Roppo gathered, clutching their newly forged Oni-Class Mutant Cells. Their excitement was barely contained; several of them looked ready to swallow them right there.

But Luo Xing raised a hand.

"Not yet. We'll take this before Father-in-law. He deserves to see the results firsthand."

The group exchanged glances, then nodded. It made sense — both as respect and precaution. The Oni-Class Cells were far more potent than the Tiger-Class ones; if something went wrong, having Kaido present could prevent disaster.

They followed Luo Xing toward the great hall.

Inside, the Three Calamities were already waiting.

"Lord Consort!"

"Lord Consort!"

Queen, King, and Jack all greeted him with genuine warmth. Luo Xing's status had risen higher than ever — even the Calamities now bowed their heads.

After all, he'd given the Beasts Pirates their greatest weapon.

Kaido himself turned toward him, laughter booming.

"My good son-in-law! What brings you here?"

Luo Xing explained simply: the creation of a new, stronger class of Mutant Cells.

Kaido froze — then his grin split wide across his face.

"Hahaha! A son-in-law like you is worth ten armies! Worororororo!"

His laughter echoed like thunder, shaking the walls of Onigashima.

"Go on! Don't just stand there — have them eat it!"

The Tobi Roppo obeyed immediately.

Fuzzy Fe was the first to bite — and the first to convulse.

His muscles rippled violently, his body swelling as his skin shimmered red. Each hair on his head stood upright like quills. He grunted in pain but didn't scream — his teeth clenched tight, his will unbroken.

Luo Xing's eyes flashed with interest.

"Impressive. As expected of a former CP9 elite. He's said to have rivaled Rob Lucci back in the day."

Indeed, Fuzzy Fe's story was one of tragedy. Years ago, he'd been escorting the Gomu Gomu no Mi under orders from the World Government — when Shanks had intercepted the ship.

It was a mission that ruined him.

After his imprisonment and eventual escape, he joined the Beasts Pirates, burning for revenge against both the Government and Shanks.

And now, he would finally gain the strength to make that revenge possible.

Suddenly—

CRACK!

A sharp, wet sound split the air.

From Fuzzy Fe's back sprouted two massive, blood-red wings, dripping and flexing as they unfurled. The entire hall froze in shock.

"That transformation… unbelievable!"

King — himself a man born with wings — stared wide-eyed.

Queen's jaw dropped; envy and awe mixed across his face.

"Damn, I want one too…!"

But Luo Xing had already told them: it wasn't time yet. The Calamities would receive something even greater — the Dragon-Class Mutant Cells.

Fuzzy Fe roared, his voice deep and primal.

His body shot upward, doubling in height, muscles tightening like steel cables. The fangs, the claws, the crimson wings — he looked like a true demon reborn.

"He's evolved…" someone whispered.

Then it happened again.

"Raaaahhh!"

One after another, Black Maria, Sasaki, and Ulti erupted in violent transformations of their own. Their skin flushed with power; their Zoan traits intensified; energy poured off them in waves that shook the hall.

Even Kaido — the Strongest Creature himself — felt the thrill rise in his veins.

His laughter rolled like thunder once more.

"Wororororo! Excellent! With power like this… no one in the New World can stand against us!"

And behind that laughter, Luo Xing stood quietly, eyes gleaming.

The Oni-Class Mutant Cells had succeeded.

But this was only the beginning.
