Feeling the signal from the giant dragon, Raymond was a little confused, "Danger? What kind of danger could surpass this volcano and the giant dragon itself?"
His gaze swept over the giant dragon's body beneath its wings, where an ominous, pitch-black light, like a living thing, quietly seeped out from the gaps in its scales...
That chilling aura—the cursed undead from the Dianliga Estate ruins! He hadn't expected those things to be able to torment the giant dragon like this? But how had it survived such pain and grown so large?
"Are you... are you worried about those... those undead curses?" Raymond asked, pointing at the constantly emanating black light.
"Hiss-ga..." The giant dragon let out another heavy, low groan, its massive head nodding almost imperceptibly, as if confirming the young man's guess.
"It's alright... it's alright! Big girl! I'm not afraid of that curse!" Raymond assured her eagerly and firmly, even moving closer, his palm still resting on the dragon's snout.
The curse seemed to sense his defiance and launched an attack towards him, but it was blocked by a faint golden light.
"See! I touched you, and I'm perfectly fine! Trust me, let me try to heal you!"
Raymond closed his eyes, concentrating his mind and spirit, mobilizing the newly awakened warm current deep within his bloodline, using his spiritual power to guide the magic in the air to transform into the purest life magic, imagining the Water of Life gathering in his palm—
"Life Drop!"
In an instant, light condensed in his palm! A drop of water, pale green like a newborn tender leaf, brimming with vibrant life, shimmered and formed in his palm! A gentle, warm halo rippled outwards, dispelling the surrounding heat.
"It worked!" A surge of immense joy filled his heart. He cautiously stepped forward half a step, offering this hope-filled green drop to the giant dragon's snout.
Just as the drop left his palm and was about to touch it, the giant dragon suddenly opened its enormous maw!
The next second, the Life Drop, condensed with all of Raymond's will and hope, transformed into a soft green light and gently slid into the giant dragon's bottomless throat.
Immediately following, a miracle appeared: a faint green halo visibly rose from the edges of the giant dragon's most deeply torn wounds!
The charred necrotic tissue at the wound edges, as if moisturized by an invisible spring, softened slightly and 蠕動 ed inwards by an extremely minute amount—about half an inch!
The giant dragon let out a deep whimper of obvious relief, its massive body trembling slightly in relaxation, even shaking down volcanic ash that rustled from the rock wall.
However, the hope on the young man's face had not yet fully bloomed when the scene before him cruelly froze it.
Like stubborn stains, the black curses entrenched deep within the giant dragon's body only retreated that insignificant half-inch before, like living vines, they surged back with even greater speed, quickly re-engulfing the tiny victory brought by that hint of life's green light!
"If Life Drop doesn't work, then use a Revive!" After saying that, Raymond took out a Revive and threw it to the giant dragon. This thing could bring the dead back to life in the Pokémon world, so it should be able to heal injuries here... right?
The wounds on the giant dragon's body healed at a visible speed after swallowing the Revive, but... they stopped due to the curses. So Raymond threw the remaining four over as well...
"It can only heal injuries, but can't remove the curse? No! The curse also became stronger, why is that?" Raymond was very surprised, looking at the black light that had grown denser.
"Roar!!" The giant dragon also let out a mournful cry due to the pain.
"...I'm sorry... it's my fault..." The young man clenched his fists, his fingernails digging deep into his palms, engulfed by an indescribable sense of powerlessness and intense self-reproach.
He looked at the colossal beast, now steeped in an even stronger curse, his voice so low it was almost a sob, "I finally found you... but I can only watch helplessly... watch you being dragged into an endless abyss..."
A heart-wrenching unwillingness surged in his chest, "Why is this happening? I haven't even had a chance to soar through the skies with you yet... You've been here, enduring torment alone for who knows how long... and what you finally waited for was..."
Perhaps the sorrow overflowing in the young man's eyes was too intense, or perhaps the giant dragon sensed the powerless yet sincere apology deep within his soul.
The massive silver head slowly and gently lowered itself, carefully rubbing its still-intact cheek against the young man who grieved for it, with an incredibly gentle force.
"Hiss-ga..." The deep whimper sounded again, this time filled with comfort and understanding.
"Thank you... big guy..." Raymond raised his hand and gently stroked the giant dragon's ferocious yet unusually warm scales. Tears finally streamed down, mixing with his sweat, "My name is Raymond Targaryen, I still don't know your name..."
When his palm touched his chest, it was unusually hot. He suddenly froze—the Light Stone Shard!
Just now, immersed in communication and self-reproach over his failure, he had almost forgotten this divine object that had caused all the anomalies! A crazy thought flashed through his mind like an electric current!
He unhesitatingly took out the shard, which was growing hotter and whose light flickered as if breathing. The moment the shard was held in his palm, directly facing the giant dragon—as if ignited by the pure bond they had already forged despite their first meeting! The Light Stone Shard suddenly erupted with an unprecedentedly strong light!
This light was so pure and warm, like the most sacred blessing, instantly enveloping Raymond completely!
At the center of this swirling sea of incandescent light, Raymond felt his soul being cleansed. In the hazy interplay of light and shadow, he vaguely saw an incredibly tall, dragon-shaped divine figure! It was like a breathing snow mountain, its posture combining the elegant agility of an Eastern white bird with the power and majesty of a Western giant dragon.
Pure, flawless fur covered its entire body, and bright blue pupils, as if condensed from the core light of eternal ice fields, were set within deep, pitch-black sclera. Long, silvery fur flowed from its head, while its facial features held the aloofness and handsomeness of a white wolf. Two rings with a glimmer of mithril encircled its neck.
Its slender yet powerful neck and forelegs, and its strong yet perfectly proportioned torso, were gently enveloped by the soft, fluffy white fur on its belly. Its forefeet were exquisitely structured, with hard, textured protrusions that gleamed with cold light. Its hind feet were strong and powerful, supporting its immense weight. Its tail was also encircled by two metal rings, below which was a powerful, engine-like structure, with a lightly upturned tail tip—this was the true illusion of the Dragon God Reshiram!
