"Comminuted fracture of the left arm, eight broken ribs, one of which punctured the left lung, ruptured muscles and a fractured, dislocated knee in the right leg, ruptured liver, spleen, and right kidney, severe internal hemorrhaging in the abdominal cavity…"
"Even after emergency procedures, young man, it's a miracle you're alive!"
"Normally, a person with injuries like yours, even if they didn't die instantly, would be in a life-threatening state for days. They might even suffer permanent disability or become comatose. But you have remained completely conscious, showing no sign of delirium or drifting off, and the injured areas are undergoing extremely rapid self-repair."
"It looks like, barring any unforeseen issues, there shouldn't be any major lasting complications. In any case, get plenty of rest. I'll come check on you again at this time tomorrow."
Following the examination, a slightly balding doctor in his fifties gave the patient on the bed a comforting smile before turning and leaving the white ward with his assistant and two nurses.
It wasn't until they were well out of earshot that the fourteen-year-old boy lying in bed, with short silver hair and violet eyes, slightly curled his lips. He murmured in an extremely low voice, "Running into Hisoka, the world's number one weirdo, right after transmigrating, and almost getting killed instantly? In a way, I'm truly unlucky."
It was clear he was not originally from this world, but an ordinary young man from Earth.
He had been sitting alone at home, attempting to multitask: firing up the login screen to play a game, clicking on a classic anime in his bookmarks, and sipping an ice-cold bottle of his soda, all set for a relaxing and pleasant weekend.
But who could have imagined that simply habitually kicking the loose power cord of the surge protector under the table would result in him accidentally knocking over the large bottle of soda? The next thing he knew, he had completely lost consciousness.
When he woke up again, he had taken over the body of a fourteen-year-old boy named Allen. He found a blood-soaked playing card stuck in his chest, and the ground around him was littered with splattered blood and incomplete corpses.
Whether due to the act of transmigration or the presence of a new soul and consciousness, the tear in his chest caused by the playing card rapidly healed within a few short seconds.
Before he could process the situation using the residual memories of the body's original owner, a figure nearly six-foot-three, dressed like a clown, suddenly charged toward him. The man radiated an astonishing bloodlust and kept muttering, "Ah! There's another one who slipped through the net~"
Under the intense external stimulus, Allen immediately entered an inexplicable state. Simultaneously, a massive flood of combat experience, weapon techniques, and a variety of miraculous "Abilities" detonated in his mind.
Undoubtedly, all of this originated from the Hunter Class from World of Warcraft. Specifically, it was the level 45 character he had created and leveled on the Classic server.
What happened next was a blur: he summoned his pet, Lupos (the rare elite Shadow Wolf from Duskwood), casually threw down a Freezing Trap, drew his Verdant Keeper's Aim, and shot the enemy with Concussive Shot.
Because Hisoka was in a state of excitement and slightly underestimated his opponent, he took the attack head-on. He fell into a severe stunned state, unable to move or take another step forward—clearly, the 20% stun chance from the Improved Concussive Shot talent had activated.
Allen seized the opportunity, activated the Rapid Fire ability, and opened with the Hunter's signature combo: Multi-Shot, Arcane Shot, and Serpent Sting.
At the same time, the Wolf Alpha, Lupos, following its master's signal, activated its ultimate Beast Mastery ability, Bestial Wrath, and charged the enemy, launching a savage frenzy of bites.
As expected, Hisoka paid the price for his carelessness. Not only was his torso pierced by several sharp barbed arrows, but his right shoulder was severely damaged by the energy explosion from Arcane Shot, exposing large patches of bloody red muscle, and Lupos's bite tore a massive chunk of flesh from one of his legs.
While the injuries were far from crippling or fatal, at that rate of blood loss, he would soon enter a state of shock. More terrifyingly, the poison from Serpent Sting, coating the arrows, had already spread through his bloodstream, continuously draining his life force.
"Ahahahahaha! Wonderful! You are truly wonderful! Is this your ability? Delicious! So delicious!"
Faced with a serious threat to his life, Hisoka did not choose to retreat like a normal person; instead, his excitement intensified. Laughing maniacally, he charged again.
This time, his body was clearly enveloped in a mysterious power, which caused most of the arrows and Lupos's bites to fail to penetrate.
Although the Freezing Trap provided a small measure of obstruction and delay, the transmigrator with the Hunter Class Template was ultimately defeated by the opponent's superior Nen ability. He couldn't even use Aspect of the Cheetah to create distance.
The severe injuries on his body now were the result of continuous blows from Nen-infused fists after the Hunter Class Template's HP was depleted to zero.
If Hisoka hadn't realized that the boy he was savagely beating had no Nen ability and pulled his punches just in time, Allen's corpse would already be cold.
As he left, he didn't forget to drop the line, "I eagerly await your growth," before turning and walking away alone, never to be seen again.
"From today onward, I am Allen. But the question is, why did I get the Hunter class when I created so many different game characters? Was it automatically selected because of the similarity in names—'Hunter' World and my class? That's way too arbitrary! Well, something is better than nothing. At least I know that with the Hunter's own abilities, once I reach max level 60, I can definitely pose a significant threat to powerful Nen users. What's more, we can learn Nen too, right, Lupos?"
With that, Allen, the boy with the soul of an adult, turned to look at the massive silver wolf resting beside the hospital bed.
It was, without a doubt, his Hunter pet—the infamous, though later nerfed, Shadow Wolf Alpha, Lupos.
"Awo awo!"
The great wolf, showing exceptional intelligence, extended its tongue to lick the hand its master held out. Its two eyes gleamed with yellowish-green light.
Because Allen had put points into the Spirit Bond talent, Lupos easily understood its master's meaning and nodded its massive head in agreement. Through the shared memories and thoughts from Spirit Bond, Lupos had begun to grasp the concept of Nen, and after its close combat with the Nen user Hisoka, it had already started showing signs of a potential Nen awakening.
