When Airi, a quiet girl with a hidden past, transfers to the mysterious Thornemere Academy,
she expects an ordinary school year..but what she finds instead is far from normal. The hallways whisper secrets, strange shadows move at night, and students vanish without explanation.
Two boys
Ren Sinclair, the charming yet secretive top student, and
Kaito Frost , the cold but protective delinquent both fall for Raven Matthew as they're drawn into the school's dark mysteries.
Together, the three uncover clues that reveal the academy's haunting connection to a tragedy from the year 2012.
But as they dig deeper, Raven realizes the truth might not only destroy the school it might destroy them too.
First day of school is like shining sun. The first day of school was bright and full of excitement. She quickly made a new friend
a kind and cheerful girl named Lana. From the moment they met, it felt like they were meant to be friends, sharing laughter and stories as if they had known each other for years.
The next morning felt different to Raven. The air outside the classroom seemed heavier, as if the day was hiding something. She took her seat near the window, staring at the courtyard where a cold breeze moved through the trees. Everyone else was busy chatting, laughing, or rushing through last-minute homework, but Raven couldn't shake the strange feeling.
That's when she noticed someone new. A boy she hadn't seen before was standing near the notice board, quietly observing the crowd. He wasn't talking to anyone, but his eyes seemed to notice everything sharp, calm, and curious, like he could read the thoughts people tried to hide. When their eyes met, Raven looked away too quickly, pretending to fix her notebook, but she could still feel his gaze for a moment longer.
Later that day, when the corridors were empty, Raven passed by the same spot and saw something carved faintly into the wall: "This school remembers." She froze. It was the same thought she'd written in her diary the night before
Raven's POV
The words on the wall haunted me all day This school remembers.
How could someone else know? It felt like the building itself was listening, whispering things only I was supposed to think.
By the last bell, curiosity had won. I waited by the staircase, the one that led to the old part of the building no one used anymore. I knew he'd walk by that guy And he did.
"Hey," I said, trying to sound casual. "You wrote that on the wall, didn't you?"
He stopped. For a moment, he didn't answer. Then a faint smile appeared, the kind that hides more than it reveals
"I didn't write it," he said softly. "But maybe you were meant to see it."
My heart skipped. "What's that supposed to mean?"
He looked past me, toward the dark hallway behind the stairs. "Some things here don't forget. Even when people do."
Before I could ask more, the lights flickered once, twice and he was gone. Just like that.
I stood there alone, staring into the shadows, realizing that the weird feeling
After that, I went outside. I don't even remember how, but I suddenly felt dizzy like I was about to pass out. Then something strange caught my eyes.
Right in front of me stood a figure… a guy, but something was terribly wrong. He had no head. My heart froze. He was wearing our school uniform, and for a moment, I couldn't even breathe.
The most terrifying part? He was pointing his finger at me — straight at me, as if he wanted to say something I couldn't hear.
A few students walked past, chatting and laughing, but none of them seemed to notice him. It was like I was the only one who could see him. The world around me felt normal, yet everything inside me screamed that something wasn't right.
Was I imagining it? Or was I really seeing something… that wasn't supposed to exist
I wanted to scream, but no sound came out. My throat felt dry, my legs were shaking, and my mind kept asking the same question why me?
The headless guy didn't move. He just kept pointing at me, his uniform swaying slightly in the cold wind. I could see the faint outline of his tie fluttering — the same one we all wore at school. That made it even worse… he was one of us.
I took a small step back, but the moment I did, he took one forward. My breath caught. I could feel the air around me grow heavier, colder. Every instinct told me to run, yet my body wouldn't move.
Then, just as suddenly as he appeared, he turned — slow, mechanical — and walked toward the old abounded block. The one that's been closed since last year.
The students passing by still didn't react. They just laughed and went on, as if
nothing strange was happening right in front of them.
I finally whispered to myself, "What… are you?"
But the only answer was silence. And the echo of my own heartbeat.
Why did my parents send me to study here? Why this school, of all places? My hands were trembling, my heartbeat felt too loud. I was freaking scared.
I forced myself to walk toward my classroom every step felt heavier than the last. The corridor lights flickered, and I tried to convince myself that everything I saw earlier was just my imagination.
When I finally reached the class, I hesitated at the door. My stomach twisted the fear crawling through me like those disgusting caterpillars that sometimes appear out of nowhere.
I pushed the door open quietly. My class teacher was standing in front, explaining something to the students as if everything was normal. Everyone looked calm, focused except me. I was late.
The teacher stopped mid-sentence and looked straight at me. Her eyes were cold,
expression unreadable.
"Where were you?" she asked sharply. "It's only fifteen minutes left to complete the chapter. What will you do now?"
The whole class turned to stare at me. I froze at the doorway, still shaken by what I'd seen outside. My lips parted to answer, but no words came out. Because behind the teacher… in the reflection of the window… I scared once more....
I tried to ignore what had happened earlier and told the teacher that I wasn't feeling well, that I had been in the medical room. She didn't ask much and simply told me to take a seat. As I walked toward the desk, my eyes caught someone sitting next to the empty chair. For a moment, everything around me seemed to blur because there he was. A boy, looking effortlessly charming, almost unreal. His presence felt like something straight out of a fairy tale, like one of those Disney prince who only exist in movies. The way he looked up, with calm eyes and a faint smile, made my heart skip a beat.
The teacher told me that " for now Ren Sinclair will help you in studies and he'll help you for delay syllabus. He is the the top student of school you have a great opportunity
After that day, I couldn't deny it anymore I had a little crush on him. Maybe it was the way he spoke, calm and confident, or the way he seemed to know every answer before anyone else. After class, I gathered some courage and went to ask him a question I didn't understand. He explained it so clearly, every word coming out so effortlessly, like he had all the time in the world. My heart was fluttering the whole time butterflies going wild inside me just because he was talking to me. But still… he never looked into my eyes. Not even once. I couldn't help but wonder why.
The day was going surprisingly well...Lana my friend , She's such a kind and cheerful person the kind who makes you laugh without even trying. We instantly clicked, like we had known each other for years. Now, we're as close as bees buzzing together around the same flower, sharing every little story, secret, and smile. When the lunch bell rang, Lana and I walked together to the lunch area, chatting and laughing about random things. Everything was going perfectly until I messed up. While trying to balance my tray and talk at the same time, my lunch plate suddenly slipped from my hands and fell straight onto someone's shirt. The sound of the plate hitting the floor echoed through the room, and for a second, everyone turned to look at me. My heart nearly stopped as I froze, not knowing what to say. That guy slowly turned around, and the moment I saw his face, my breath caught in my throat. Oh my god his deep eyes made my heart skip a beat. Even with a stain on his shirt, he looked effortlessly handsome. I stood there speechless, clutching the edge of my tray, completely lost in his presence. He didn't say a single word. He just looked at me for a second, then quietly turned away, completely ignoring me like nothing had happened. My cheeks burned with embarrassment, and my heart was beating so fast I could hear it in my ears. I quickly stammered, "I'm so sorry!" but he didn't even glance back. Feeling utterly awkward, I grabbed my plate and ran off, wishing the ground would just open up and swallow me whole. I kept replaying the scene in my head, thinking about how stupid
For the rest of the day, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened in the lunch area. Every time I closed my eyes, I could still see the look on his face calm, cold, and completely unreadable.
Lana kept teasing me, saying, "You really made an impression on him just not the good kind!" I tried to laugh it off, but deep inside, I felt a strange mix of embarrassment and curiosity. Who was he? Why did he ignore me like that?
Later, when classes were over, I saw him again near the school gate. He was talking to someone, his voice low and confident. For a moment, his eyes met mine just for a heartbeat before he looked away.
Lana told me that
Everyone in school knew about him the guy who never tolerated mistakes. He was the kind of person who'd get angry even if someone accidentally bumped into him. People said he used to fight with anyone who messed up around him. That's why it shocked everyone including Lana when he didn't say a single word to me after I spilled my lunch all over his shirt.
He just stood there, calm and silent, his eyes unreadable. I expected him to yell or at least glare, but instead, he simply turned away as if nothing had happened. The whole lunch area went quiet for a few seconds; even Lana was speechless.
I couldn't understand it why me? Why didn't he react the way he usually did? Maybe he wasn't as heartless as everyone said... or maybe,
