Chapter 2 - The body [1]

The sound of a soft delicate crunch becoming increasingly more crude.

Our boy laying low coming from the alleyway walks through the streets, although the streets are covered in layers of snow up to a floor high, (blocking most entrances)

A person with a hoodie Is seen entering the building with the body on it, he seemingly jumps down through a broken window into a open lobby that takes 2 floors of space.

'I thought I'd be the first to get here' while approaching the window, peaking inside he spots the guy eye level, spam pressing the elevator before heading to the stairwell.

Looking down the broken window it's almost like a slide of snow,'I guess he didn't jump down' before sliding down the short slide.

'a hotel?' walking on the floor spotting a stair in the middle leading to where the guy from earlier was, heading up the stairs a shifting mechanical sound is heard.

Looking straight at the elevator the doors trying to open but only one does, the left one. It only opened halfway well still enough to fit through, is it a good idea to use it probably not but whatever.

Sitting inside the elevator there's no option for roof access, so the top floor is pressed instead.

The elevator rises on 'this is going well' nah,

The elevator shutters around halfway before continuing. 'Nora' randomly thought.

reaching near the top the elevator stops in between the second last and last floor.

Looking up at the roofs elevator hatch I try to pry at it to no avail, fortunately the elevator began to work again.

Squeezing out the elevator, all the doors of the hotel rooms are slightly open, walking to the stairwell whilst breifly glancing at the last hotel room. the door being wide open, it's all snowy inside.

Entering the stairwell distant footsteps echo below.

The guy from earlier.

With this knowledge I walk up the stairs as quietly and quickly as possible.

As reach the top of the stairs I notice the roof door on the ground.

Reaching the doorframe I'm met with a powerful gust of wind that suppresses my movements, my hand moves to protect my eyes from the sharp glare of the sun.

I walk towards the body.

Reaching the body knees now bent, greedily hunching over, the body covered in clothes except his old face apparent by white beard and white hair.

Patting down from head to toe, each sleeve, every pocket. There's no gun, no valuable equipment, undoing his zipper I search inside and find a compartment.

inside is a strange metal stick with a black base. 'better than nothing' stashing inside my own pocket.

It was a usb btw he dumb

Eyes exploring the body, I take interest in his weird looking gloves and take them as my own.

As I glance up I look at the endless buildings some small, some big, but nevertheless they're all covered in snow.

Standing in the middle of the building, I look up at the small bright sun, skin cold as ever.

'I wish it could be like this for ever' as I'm reminded by another cold gust of wind followed by a faint footstep.
