Sandy's POV
"I apologize if we have met before. I truly cannot remember." I offered the stranger a gentle smile, but a deep growl from somewhere behind him sent chills racing across my skin.
The man in front of me chuckled softly and stepped to one side, giving me an unobstructed view of the figure standing by the window.
Charles.
He wore a crisp black button-down shirt paired with matching dark slacks, the same uniform as the stranger beside me. Yet one glance at Charles made my pulse stutter and race.
His hair was styled with precision, swept back with gel to showcase his strong forehead and those penetrating dark eyes. When our gazes locked, I felt a tremor run through me.
"Leave us, Joseph." Charles commanded the stranger with quiet authority.
"At least allow me proper introductions." The man called Joseph turned back to face me with an easy grin. "Hello, Sandy. I am Joseph Ezekiel. I am Charles' younger brother."
