At some point after getting isolated with meeting sasuke everyday being my only day to day activity after going to the academy, I began getting fond of him in the sense of an acquaintance.
Also at the same time I began living the world for what it is.
Into the fourth month of the first year and the second month of sasuke training with me, I was able to sense chakra.
As for how, I myself was unaware, apparently its just like a sixth instinct or another limb you can control if you grow it well enough and mine right now was a baby limb with little nerve functions so control was way harder than just sensing it.
Meanwhile sasuke never failed to slack out on sparring with me and our game of who can hit a dead eye better using shurikens and kunai was a blast with me losing ten out of ten times.
But still yet the kid relented to train with me strictly and worked himself even more to the core than myself.
As I started feeling like I had been too lax, I mean rumors started circulating of there beinga failed uchiha and sasuke was not having it and he was quick to being on the defensive.
As from the fifth month of the first year an dthird month of sasuke being my sparring partner, I was able to grow that baby limb to a teenagers limb, the growth in learning to control chakra was my evident growth this month, with me no longer slacking off my learning and comprehension ability increased by many folds but I still got handed my ass everytime by sasuke when it came to the taijutsu section and everything else remained the same.
The sixth month had me near perfect chakra control, I put all my time and hard-work into this one and still yet the progress remained stagnant, I could balance the leaf for hours even in my sleep and any part of my body, I even went as far trying with multiple leaves, it strained my concentration but still it was as good as done and I guess that was so much a genius could teach me concerning chakra control at this age. Within that same month, I moved my focus to ninjutsu which was simply a breeze except the part where I have to memorize hand signs, that part was hell and although it worked like a miracle once you can perform the correct hand signs with the adequate amount of chakra. On the first trial shadow clone jutsu was a success, as for substitution and fireball jutsu, those were for another time.
The seventh month, I had less of burning my face and more getting stabbed with shuriken than earlier but still the progress was palpable, most of my problems lied with a fast execution of jutsu.
By the end of the month, I was able to use the signature jutsu of the uchiha and if I were to brag, Id say it was quite better than sasuke.
