Chapter 2 - Changes

"What about you, Naruto? By the way, my task was to use my clan's Jutsu with the dogs from the clan."

"It was weird working with other people's dogs, but it worked out." Kiba asked.

"My task was combat. I had to fight a Special Jonin and survive for ten minutes."

Naruto answered.

"How did you do?"

Kiba and Shino couldn't help but feel curious. After all, this was Naruto, and his opponent turned out to be a Special Jonin.

Naruto brightly smiled and said.

"I crushed him."

Kiba felt speechless upon hearing that. Although deep down, he was expecting it.

Naruto was a monster, in a literal sense. When he was only six years old, he could fight a Chunin on equal level in Taijutsu battle.

His strength was so monstrous that there was even a rumor that he was Nine-Tails incarnate.

And, during these six years, Naruto had never faced a defeat. Not even the prodigy of the Uchiha Clan was able to defeat him.

Thinking about the prodigy, Kiba couldn't help but sneak a peek at a boy sitting on the other side of the class.

He had black hair and a cold expression. He wore a blue t-shirt with his elbows on the table and his chin in his hands.

"By the way, Hinata, what was your task?"

Naruto turned his attention towards Hinata and asked.

"It was Gentle Fist. I had to use Gentle Fist to fight a Genin."

"And you crushed him."

Naruto excitedly replied. With his interference, Hinata was several times stronger than her original counterpart.

Just like how his potential wasn't fully utilized, Hinata was in a similar situation.

During the fourth Ninja War, Neji could see over a kilometer in straight distance, while two years after the war, Hinata could see twenty kilometers.

Even during the war, Hinata could see further away from Neji, at least ten kilometers.

This was due to the purity of her Byakugan.

But she never truly got to hold a spotlight due to various reasons. One of them was her lack of proper training.

There was a difference between normal training and proper training.

Sasuke wanted revenge, and for that, he trained every single hour of his life, but until he properly learned under Kakashi and Orochimaru, he never grew.

He could launch a Fireball before the Uchiha Massacre, and he could launch a Fireball after the Uchiha Massacre.

Except for more refined Taijutsu and Shuriken Jutsu, there wasn't much difference.

Naruto also worked hard. He was willing to train every chance he got.

But without proper teachers and a lack of understanding of the course materials, his progress was even worse than Hinata's.

Hinata's progress was hampered by her lack of confidence. Something that was caused by her gentle attitude towards others.

Her inability to strike fiercely during a battle caused her father to be disappointed in her.

That led to her growing lack of confidence. But that all changed thanks to him.

Not only was she willing to train hard, fight harder, and eat faster, but she was also able to spend more time with Naruto.

So, what could be better than that kind of training?

Hinata blushed at his words, but her lack of response reflected her inability.

Kiba asked.

"Naruto, do you know what kind of task Sasuke performed?"

"And, why would I know that?" Naruto rolled his eyes and asked.

"Come on, you are close to him. Your father is the Hokage. Surely, he told you about our tasks." Kiba nudged him with his elbow and asked.

"First of all, I am not close to him. My mother is friends with his mother. Second of all, Dad didn't give me any information about tasks."

"This kind of Task Examination was established just two years ago. But it is clear that every task is based on a person's ability."

Naruto replied with an unhappy tone.

He didn't have a problem with Sasuke, but the guy had a problem with him.

It wasn't his fault that he was stronger than Sasuke. But due to Uchiha's pride and his brother's reputation, Sasuke wasn't willing to accept defeat.

Every time they fight, he has to literally make Sasuke lose consciousness.

Otherwise, he wouldn't stop.

Because of this, he awakened his Sharingan and even raised it to Three Tomoe this year.

Sasuke was strong, far stronger than anyone in the academy.

But Naruto trained with his father at every chance he got.

His reaction speed, Taijutsu, and Ninjutsu improved immensely. He was able to stomp Sasuke in every fight.

If he had a normal talent and training with his father, this wouldn't be the case.

But with his physical strength stronger than a Jonin, he could easily overwhelm Sasuke.

His constant wins made Sasuke resent him.

It was quite weird, but considering how Madara and Indra were, he expected it to be like that.

One thing that made him feel different was his reaction towards Sasuke.

Whether it was due to his lack of one, he believed he might not have inherited the Chakra of Ashura.

And, it never appeared in the panel as well. So, he was quite confused about it.

There were too many inconsistencies in this world. So much so that he didn't want to think about the plot.

Because of this, he even forgot about Mizuki's existence.

Mizuki wasn't even present in the academy. His father's work as a Hokage not only made the village strong, but it also made the ninjas better.

Mizuki's act of betrayal was suppressed in the original timeline, but not here.

Minato was gentle towards his people, but his attitude towards his enemy was harsh.

So when he learned that there was a chance that Mizuki had betrayed his comrade, he was instantly put under investigation.

After they checked his memories and found the truth, they immediately denounced his status as a ninja.

Although killing a comrade wasn't a good thing, it wasn't considered bad if it was detrimental to the mission.

So, he wasn't imprisoned.

But due to the hatred towards the village for abandoning him and Orochimaru's promise of power, he decisively tried to steal the Book of Seals and go rogue.

But he was caught before even he could make a move. This time, he was sent to prison for the charges of betraying the village.

Naruto was completely unaware of it.

But his voice was quite loud. At least, loud enough for Sasuke to hear.

Sasuke glanced at him with his cold eyes and turned his head away. There was a hint of arrogance and resentment in those eyes.

Despite that, Sasuke didn't look angry at Naruto.

Soon, more and more students arrived in the classroom. After a while, two teachers walked in.

One of them was Shisui Uchiha, and the other was Iruka Umino.

Originally, Iruka wasn't supposed to be their teacher. With Shisui looking after them, there was no need for Iruka.

But Naruto felt bad for Iruka.

After all, this was the man who slowly overcame his fear and hatred for Nine-Tails and started treating Naruto as a little brother in the original timeline.

Although this didn't happen in this world, he still asked his father to let Iruka become his teacher.

As for why Shisui was chosen. He didn't know.

After they entered the classroom, students became silent.

Shisui took out a large scroll and unfolded it. But without looking at it, he said.

"Congratulations to you all! You have graduated from the Academy and become a Genin. You have officially entered the path of a Shinobi."

"From this moment onward, your life will change drastically. But our Hokage once said, A Shinobi is someone who can endure."

"So, do your best to endure all the challenges and become an excellent Shinobi."

"Yes, Teacher Shisui!"

Almost everyone in the class rose from their seats and shouted with excitement, running across their faces.

Iruka stared at Shisui with starry eyes.

'Shisui-san is so good at inspiring people.'

Naruto was speechless at his words. He never thought his father would copy the words of his teacher.

"Now, we will start with class division. First of all, Genin will be sent to missions, but due to their lack of experience, sending Genin alone would be dangerous."

"So, Genins are divided into a group of three, with each of the members providing a certain type of strength to the group."

"You will be led by a Jonin Instructor who will help you with the missions and train you until you are qualified enough to do missions on your own."

"So, let's start with class division! Iruka!"

"Ah, yes, Shisui-san!"

Iruka hurriedly rushed forward and took the scroll from Shisui's hand. Then, he started calling out teams.

"Team One...…" "Team Two...…"

"Team Seven: Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kiba Inuzuka. Your Team Instructor is Kakashi Hatake."

"Team Eight: Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame. Your Team Instructor is Yamato."

"Team Ten: Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi. Your Team Instructor is Asuma Sarutobi."
