Chapter 10 - Chapter 9 – “The Power That Shouldn’t Exist.”

The sun had barely risen over U.A. High, and already Principal Nezu's office was full of quiet tension.

Stacks of analysis reports, still images, and faintly glowing readings from Recovery Girl's medical scans covered the table.

A steaming cup of tea sat untouched beside the tiny principal as his sharp eyes studied the projection hovering above his desk — footage of a golden field of light healing the wreckage of a car crash.

Recovery Girl stood beside him, arms crossed, her expression conflicted.

🧠 Nezu's Analysis

> "It's not a Quirk," Nezu said at last, breaking the silence. His tone was calm, but his tail swished in restless curiosity.

"There's no genetic signature, no energy resonance typical of Quirk activation. Yet… this energy behaves with impossible precision."

He tapped a claw on the screen, zooming in on a still frame — a hand glowing faintly.

> "Look here. Every damaged cell reverts to its previous state. No regeneration, no reconstruction. It's more like—"

> "Time reversal," Recovery Girl finished quietly.

Nezu smiled, pleased she reached the same conclusion.

> "Not time… exactly. More like event denial. As if the injury never happened in the first place."

He paused, thinking aloud.

> "That sort of control over causality shouldn't exist. Not in this world, at least."

💊 Recovery Girl's Concern

> "If it's true, this power could overturn medicine as we know it," she said. "But it could also destroy balance. Imagine—undoing death itself."

She frowned deeply.

> "There's no cost. No strain, no energy backlash on the body. I've seen the limits of healing quirks. This one… defies logic."

Nezu folded his paws.

> "That's what troubles me. Every power has a price. If she truly has none, perhaps the cost is hidden — or yet to come."

He leaned back, eyes gleaming with sharp intelligence.

> "The girl in this video — she could be a miracle… or a calamity waiting to happen."

🦅 Hawks' Report File

A feather drone projection flickered to life on the desk. Hawks' voice, relaxed but serious, echoed in the room.

> "Still no solid ID on the 'healer.' I've been watching the café area like you asked. No one suspicious so far, except a few locals with odd energy readings — could just be quirks bleeding through the walls."

Nezu tilted his head.

> "Odd readings, you say? Any pattern?"

> "Yeah," Hawks replied. "It always feels… warm. Like the air itself is smiling. Weird, huh?"

Recovery Girl's eyebrows rose slightly at that description.

> "Warmth… kindness in the energy. That fits with the healing itself."

Nezu chuckled softly.

> "A benevolent presence in a chaotic world. How poetic."

Then his tone shifted, serious once more.

> "But Hawks—be careful. If she's truly capable of reversing death, others will come for her. Heroes, villains, scientists… even governments."

The recording ended.

🌸 Unspoken Realization

Recovery Girl looked out the window at the distant Musutafu skyline.

> "Do you think she even knows what she's carrying?"

> "Perhaps not," Nezu replied softly. "But ignorance is a fragile shield. Sooner or later, the world will notice."

The small principal's smile faded.

> "And when they do, I can only hope we find her before the wrong hands do."

🕊️ Cut Scene – Café Soleil

At that exact moment, Orihime was laughing behind the café counter, greeting customers with her usual brightness.

To everyone else, she was just a kind, gentle maid with a clumsy smile.

But on her tray sat a pair of small hairpins — six-petaled flowers that shimmered faintly whenever the sunlight touched them.

Unseen to all, the Shun Shun Rikka fluttered within, whispering softly…

> "Danger draws near, our lady."

Orihime smiled, unaware.

> "Hmm? I thought I heard something…"
