Chapter 113 - Mysterious Buyer
Bai xia had already told Fu jian everything that happened to her while they were inside the car.
From the moment she entered the antique shop…
To the receptionist's mocking eyes…
To the words "fox spirit"…
To being accused of being kept by an old man…
To being ordered to be thrown out like trash.
The more she spoke, the darker Fu jian's expression became.
By the time the car stopped in front of the antique shop, his face was already frighteningly cold.
He opened the door and stepped out first.
The receptionist inside the shop was still standing behind the counter, bored and arrogant, as if nothing had happened. When she suddenly saw Fu jian enter—
Her eyes lit up instantly.
His tall figure, expensive suit, cold aura, and noble temperament made her heart skip a beat. Without hesitation, she immediately walked out from behind the desk to welcome him, her face full of flattery.
"Sir, welcome—"
But the moment her eyes shifted past him and landed on Bai xia, everything froze.
Her smile stiffened.
Her blood ran cold.
Bai xia stepped inside behind Fu jian calmly. Then, in front of everyone, she walked up to him, held his arm tightly, and leaned against him like an aggrieved little girl. Her lips pouted, her eyes slightly red.
"It's her," Bai xia said softly but clearly, raising her finger at the receptionist. "She's the one. The one who bullied me."
The receptionist's legs went weak instantly.
The man beside Bai xia was clearly far richer than even her boss. Just one look at his aura and outfit made that obvious.
"I—I didn't bully her…" she stuttered in panic. "It was all a misunderstanding—"
Bai xia scoffed.
"What misunderstanding?" she said coldly. "Swear on your life and the lives of your family that you didn't call me a fox spirit, didn't curse me in all sorts of ways, didn't say I was kept by an old man as a mistress. Didn't you even tell me to bring the 'old man' here? Fine. I brought him."
The receptionist looked at Fu jian's terrifying gaze and nearly collapsed from fear.
"S-Sir… please… it was really a misunderstanding…"
Before she could finish—
Bai xia suddenly started pinching Fu jian's arm fiercely.
"Fu jian! She even hit me and cursed at my parents!" Bai xia said angrily. "She said I was an ugly pig and that any man who marries me will give birth to ugly children!"
As she spoke, she even pretended to wipe away a few tears.
The receptionist was so shocked her mind went blank.
"I didn't! I didn't! She—she's lying!"
Fu jian's eyes instantly turned icy.
"My wife cannot lie."
The receptionist felt like she had been struck by lightning.
"W-wife?!" she exclaimed in horror. "B-but I—I—"
She couldn't even form a sentence anymore.
Fu jian, of course, knew very clearly that half of Bai xia's words were false.
But he didn't care.
Not even a little.
Bai xia had never once asked him for help in matters like this. If today she wanted to falsely accuse someone, then that person deserved to suffer. Whether it was true or not no longer mattered.
More importantly—
This was the first time Bai xia had ever acted this soft and wronged in front of him.
Most of the time, she behaved like she was older than him. Cold. Calm. Calculated. Sometimes he even forgot…
She was only 18 years old.
But today—
She looked like a small, angry child seeking justice in front of him.
And Fu jian found this side of her dangerously adorable.
The thought of "benefits he could claim later" made his mood lift slightly.
He turned to his assistant without hesitation.
"Ruan Jing," his voice was cold.
"Yes, sir."
"Call the boss of this place."
"Yes, sir."
The receptionist completely collapsed.
She suddenly fell to her knees with a loud thud.
"Please, sir! Please!" she cried desperately. "I was blind! I was short-sighted! I didn't mean to insult Madam! Please forgive me!"
She even tried to crawl closer to Fu jian.
Before she could reach him—
Bai xia kicked her hard in the stomach.
The sharp heel of her shoe left painful marks on the receptionist's body. She rolled on the floor in agony.
Fu jian calmly pulled Bai xia back and sat her down on a chair.
"Sit," he said gently. "Don't dirty your shoes."
About five minutes later—
The boss of the antique shop rushed in anxiously.
The moment he saw Fu jian, his eyes widened in shock.
His heart sank.
"Boss Fu… what an honor—"
Fu jian cut him off directly.
"Your receptionist humiliated my wife," he said coldly. "She cursed at me. And she even cursed our future children."
The store owner's vision went black.
"I'll show mercy," Fu jian continued calmly, "since my wife is kind-hearted. Now tell me—would you prefer to go bankrupt… or be executed for a crime?"
The boss felt like his soul left his body.
Without hesitation, he walked up to the receptionist and slapped her hard across the face.
Pa!
The force was so strong that she fell to the ground. Her face swelled instantly like a pig's head.
Then, as if nothing happened, the boss turned back to Fu jian with a flattering smile.
"Boss Fu, I'll fire her immediately! I'll also make sure her name stays on the front page of the newspaper. No one in China will ever hire her again—not even as a cleaner! Otherwise, they'll offend your Fu Group and my family as well!"
Fu jian glanced at Bai xia.
Bai xia was clearly satisfied.
But then she frowned slightly and added—
"What about my shoe? She spit on it. I bought this shoe for 30,000 yuan. I won't let it go."
The boss's expression twisted.
He dragged the receptionist over to Bai xia.
The receptionist felt completely numb.
Her life was over.
She suddenly laughed bitterly and looked at the boss with hatred.
"Why should I suffer such humiliation while you go free?" she screamed.
"I won't clean her shoes!"
The boss sneered coldly and waved his hand.
Two security guards rushed in immediately and restrained the receptionist tightly.
"Let her clean it with her tongue," Fu Jian said coldly.
Earlier, Bai xia had deliberately stepped in the mud outside.
Her shoes were deliberately dirty now.
The guards forced open the receptionist's mouth and pressed Bai xia's shoe into it.
She struggled violently, crying and screaming in humiliation.
After struggling for five minutes—
The shoes were spotless.
The receptionist fainted completely from humiliation.
They dragged her away like dead weight.
The atmosphere in the shop finally became peaceful.
The boss walked up to Bai xia respectfully.
"Madam," he said with a pleasing smile, "what would you like to buy today? It's all on the house."
Bai xia lifted her finger and pointed at the tea cup on the display.
The boss's expression stiffened slightly.
"This cup… has already been paid for, Madam," he said carefully. "I dare not offend the original owner…"
Fu jian's eyes darkened instantly.
"So," he said calmly, "you dare to offend me?"
The boss trembled in fear.
"No! No! I wouldn't dare! It's just… I don't know if the owner will be willing to sell…"
At that moment—
A calm voice came from behind them.
"I'm willing to sell."
