Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: lost her

Leng Xuanmo looked at the close door and he sighed.

Stone hearted? He was more than being stoned hearted. He was heartless until he met Lu Jingyan. He knew what life was and he was looking forward to the blissful future they'd have together once he found the culprit and when he thought he'd finally win her heart and make her feel whole again. This had to happen.

Finding out the one whom he ordered there downfall after his younger sister came to complain to him is Lu Jingyan. He finally understands the meaning of

"Are you really not going to look for her?" Leng Shiyan asked

"He found her" Li Zeyan replied

"He did? When?" Leng Shiyan asked

"He had someone trailed her to the hospital. As she went through the discharge process and she left the hospital to the airport and as she landed unto country c." Li Zeyan said

"Really?" Leng Shiyan asked

"But as soon as she lands the Intel lost her"

"Lost her? Where could she be?" Leng Shiyan asked

"Apparently there's only one person on country c she knows right now. Mo Tianyi" Li Zeyan said

"So, she is in country c. Then why don't you go to her and explain things to her" Leng Shiyan said

"What is the point? And I forbade any of you going to look for her" Leng Xuanmo said as he opened his laptop to work

Mei Xiaotong smirked outside the door as she heard everything Leng Xuanmo had said. Mo Tianyi, country c, Lu Jingyan. Don't worry. I would soon find you. She swore and left the company.

Country C

*Mo Manor – Living Room – Midnight Quiet*

The rain had stopped, but the wind still howled outside the Mo Manor walls, brushing against glass like the echoes of a storm that hadn't quite passed. Inside, the lights were dimmed to a soft amber glow, the only sound the quiet clink of porcelain as Lu Jingyan set down her untouched tea.

She sat on the long couch, spine straight but soul unraveling. Her eyes stared ahead, but her thoughts were far behind — looping endlessly through the moment *Leng Xuanmo confessed*.

She had asked him for help. She had trusted him.

And he had been the one.

Footsteps sounded lightly from the hall, and Mo Tianyu, entered the room, followed by Lu Xinyan. Neither said anything at first. They just looked at her — sitting still, the shadows clinging to her as if trying to hide the truth she could no longer ignore.

Jingyan finally spoke.

"I asked him to help me," she said, her voice fragile. "To help me find who destroyed my family… and he said he would."

She let out a bitter laugh — short, lifeless.

"And he did. He found the culprit. It was him."

Lu Xinyan stepped forward cautiously. "sister…"

"He looked me in the eyes and said it was all because Yumo was bullied." Her voice broke slightly. "One complaint. One order. And the Lu family was wiped out."

Mo Tianyu's eyes filled with fury. "That wasn't justice. That was destruction."

Jingyan looked at them. "He said he did it to protect his sister. But what about me? What about my family? I didn't even know what was happening until it was already gone."

Her voice trembled. "I begged him to help me — and he held the knife the whole time."

Silence wrapped around them like a shroud until Tianyu came forward and wrapped her arms around her cousin.

"You're not going back," she whispered. "We're your family now."

And this time, Jingyan let the pain fall. Quietly. But not completely.
