"The King… the First Original. The Progenitor of all vampires." Lucien's smile grows and widens erratically; he even feels his heart beating faster.
"Stop smiling, dear. If he can't fight me, he certainly couldn't fight that man if he were still here," Scarlet tells him, but she understands that smile; she was the same in the past.
"Smile? What smile?" He touches his face, then bursts out laughing: "HAHAHAHA~!"
He doesn't know why he's laughing; maybe he just heard a title, but he doesn't care. The mere fact that there was a Progenitor of Vampires excites him. He thought vampires had human origins, as in many stories, but he couldn't be more wrong.
"Hah..." He stops laughing as if he had heard the best joke in the world. "Why have you been missing for so long?" he asks with genuine curiosity.
"Who knows? Maybe you're the reason for that," Scarlet points at him with a big smile; it was as if she knew something.
