Chapter 1 - the catastrophe

Five years had passed since the Cataclysm—a single event that had shattered the world and left nothing but ruins in its wake. Cities that once pulsed with life now lay silent, their skeletal remains rattled by winds heavy with ash and dust. From the shadows, monsters prowled—twisted, evolved predators that hungered for what little remained of humanity.

Amid the chaos, five extraordinary figures emerged. They came to be known as "the Saviors," the first to wield mana: a mysterious, boundless energy that bends the elements to the will of its master. With it, they shielded what was left of humankind, carving out a fragile society divided between those who held power and those who did not. Guardians, farmers, builders they formed the pillars of survival.

But not all who possessed mana stayed on the path of light. One among them—the master of wind—succumbed to an insatiable lust for power. His hunger for monster cores became a constant, driving him into what the others would call "mana madness." The mind that once guided and protected now twisted into a labyrinth of ambition, dark and unrelenting.

Then, he discovered a new, terrifying ability: he could drain mana cores—not only from the beasts he hunted but from humans themselves. Boundaries vanished. Resistance became futile. He hungered for power with a merciless determination, seeking to become the supreme force in a world already broken.

The remaining four Saviors confronted him. Their battle tore through the sky, scattering wind and dust like shrapnel. Yet even together, they could not stop him. Defeat did not humble him; it made him colder, deadlier. In a moment that would scar all who witnessed it, he murdered one of their own—a former wife, a Savior—before the eyes of everyone present.

Her death left a wound no words could heal. Worse still, she left behind a child: a little girl, alone in a world of ruin, her only hope the remaining Saviors and those who could wield mana to protect her.

The wind-obsessed Savior vanished into the horizon, leaving behind a trail of death and terror. Each step he took strengthened his legend, a living nightmare to all who survived. He had become a symbol of fear, a reminder that unbridled power devours everything in its path.

In this fractured world, where monsters roam unchecked and humanity fights for its fragile existence, the true journey of heroes begins. Adventure, danger, tragedy, and even the faintest whispers of hope intertwine, as they struggle to reclaim a semblance of order from the chaos.

And in the ruins of cities, amid twisted forests, and scattered remnants of human life, the fate of one small girl—and perhaps the future of mankind—waits, for those bold enough to face the storm.
