Vanora had finished cleaning up with the help of the maids. Something she wasn't used to.
She is dressed in an expensive silk nightwear that could feed both she and her mother. A bed, very comfortable that she does not want to leave.
Marrying the Duke is surely a fast way to get out of the poverty that is embedded in her family.
She begins to think....
What could get her out of here?
Suddenly a bold idea floods in.
The door creaks open and there he was.
She knows exactly what she should do.
Arian comes to sight, he's eyes on her.
He walks over to the mattress.
Vanora is lost in her thoughts that she does not know when Arian comes into the room.
Arian sure could not take his eyes off her. She is indeed gorgeous. It sure took him a lot of time to find her, though he was not sure at first but came to realize that she is indeed the same person. He walks towards the mattress where Vanora is laying on, her face turned to the left, facing the window.
He squats down, placing his hands gently on her hair.
"I missed you my little pony" he mutters.
Vanora jolts from her thoughts, though she does not react instead she closes her eyes shot pretending to be asleep.
He pats her gently before moving away. He walks into his bathroom, taking of his clothes, he enters the tub.
Vanora opens her eyes once again, breathing in relief, she did not know what she would have done. She closes her eyes again and embrace the darkness.
Arian exits from the bathroom in his night clothes and gets into bed beside his beloved.
She is sleeping quiet peacefully and he smiles.
His hand stretches to her body pulling her close to him, he peck her forehead before he closes his eyes too.
The sound of birds chirping, the large window curtains were pulled away while the morning sun shown directly on her face. Her eyes struggling to adjust as they flew open. A maidservant had walked in, pulling the curtains open and preparing her for the morning.
What a sight to behold in the morning.
"Good morning My Lady" the maidservant greets her. Vanora seats up and adjust herself on the bed.
"Your bath is ready" the maid adds.
Vanora nods her head and the maid exits the room. She does not see Arian around.
She heads over to the bathroom, removing her night dress she steps into the tub. The water warm soothing her skin.
Her hands lifts the water unto her skin. She runs her hand through her body as she baths.
Truly, this was the life of nobles she never thought she could have.
A bath so clean and refreshing.
She lifts herself out of the bath and wraps the clean large towel that is placed on the counter around herself.
She steps into the room and finds an outfit placed on the bed.
She sits at the edge of the bed and uses part of the towel to dry her red hair. Just as she is done, she picks up the comb from the dresser and combs her hair.
Letting the towel fall to her feet, she picks up an undergarment and begins to dress.
Before picking up the light pink gown and putting it on.
Just as she is almost done arranging herself a maidservant knocks on the door and walks in.
The maidservant bends down picks the towel and puts it in the bathroom.
Vanora just can't take her eyes off the maidservant. The maidservant had her eyes to the ground not taking a single glance at her as she performed her task.
"Breakfast is served, My Lady" the maidservant finally speaks to her, her head bowed and hand stretched to the door as she intends to lead her to the dining room.
"Hmm"
She follows the maid from behind as she leads her. She couldn't take her eyes of the paintings on the wall, one of the paintings had a skull in half and a red rose completing the other half, another was an angel with broken wings, she has never seen this kind of paintings before.
The mansion also had different rooms that she couldn't make what they are used for.
She could also see that the maids in the mansion were all busy, even though they all look like they have something to say about her.
She finally gets to the dining hall and sees that different varieties of delicacies she has never seen before are on the table.
The table could contain ten seatings.
She sits at the second one where the food has been placed.
A middle aged looking man walks up to her.
"My Lady, My Lord wouldn't be joining you for breakfast today as he has so many matters to attend to this morning" the man speaks as he bows his head.
"I am Claude the Butler in the Duke's Mansion" the man adds introducing himself.
"I understand" she mutters that Claude could almost barely hear her.
Her eyes still on the large amount of food that is placed before her.
"The Lord demanded that you are satisfied and you should eat to your fill"
He mutters before walking away.
Arian watches her just as she steps out of the room.
His surprise and suspicion starts when she does not object to him sleeping on the bed together with him. Or perhaps she was truly asleep. So he thought.
She looks just as beautiful as she was last night.
He had left his studying chamber as soon as he heard the creaking sound of their bed shake. His ears sharp as his fangs.
He surely hopes she enjoys the breakfast which he had told them to prepare for her. He was not going to let his little pony go hungry.
His eyes lingers on her before he steps back into his studying chamber when a raven stops at the railings of his window, the scroll tied to its shank"
Arian walks towards the bird and picks it up, removing the scroll attached to it, it read 'Her Lady's mother is greatly ill, you must send a doctor.'
His eyes widen.
She wasn't lying when she had told him last night that her mother was ill.
He sends for Talbot.
"Send for a doctor to see mother" he says.
Talbot's eyes widen for a moment before he realizes whom Arian speaks of.
This is the least he could do, she won't hate him anymore.
A smile rests on his face as he continues with his activity.
He just needed to finish up his report and send it to His Majesty.
He is going to take proper care of this village than the last Duke who had exploited the poor with high taxes.
