Lights I had unseen were glowing once again, I was waking up. I could hear the morning in my surroundings.
The bed was somewhat extra comforting for me, I could go on and sleep for another ten hours but my body woke up. I opened my eyes. Panic struck me. My heart, which wasn't even at it's correct place was beating faster than I've ever experienced. I was not in my room, it was a fresh morning, I was sitting with my legs stretched on my bed, a window with red curtains passing natural light from my right at about half a meter distance. The room had no artificial lighting, or so I thought. The floor was flat polished stone with rough edges. I could deduce that the ground was dug and irregular shaped stone which was flattened one side was laid down in the ground and tapped into fitting for floor. The wooden doors were painted in reddish brown. A mirror hanging to my left on the wall, in which I saw a face, that was mine.
I looked outside the window and saw a field growing some kind of vegetable. It was then when I realized that I knew nothing about life. It was a body I had never known. As if I had suddenly gained consciousness, as if I suddenly gained the ability to form memories once again. My empty head which at that time didn't even remember Earth, was flooding with memories. The memories were the general experiences of a living human. I remembered no name, no faces of family, no academic knowledge, but I was knowing about wood, stone, food, life and language.
A person barged into my room, I felt a little alerted yet curious. The face had eyes, nose a mouth and ears. It was a body similar to mine yet different in various aspects. I was no longer seeing the physical bodies as a fragment of consciousness.
"Who are you?", I asked him.
The person had a confused and surprised, almost shocking look on his face, as if he had known me for a while. I could sense it instinctively, it was as if my body was feeling an emotion for the first time. His confused face made me think of an expression, but before I could think up of an appropriate reaction, he replied
"You are finally awake! I am Geron, your doctor"
I was shocked to hear that I was "finally" awake as if I had been unconscious for eternity. I was going through a lot of questions in my mind. I thought, if I stay silent, he would probably speak more and I'll use that information to look normal.
"You don't have memories? You were born asleep, you were almost dead except your body was always warm and your heart was always beating. It appeared that you were a body with no soul", his words shocked me, I let out an uncontrollable "huh!?". I realized that I was being kept alive by people because I wasn't a dead body.
"You were fed pure nutrients to keep you alive and drugs to keep your bodily systems in a frozen state, the windows were never covered so that sunlight would reach your body. It seems that you were able to hear and form memories in your brain even though you were asleep". He said.
"Tell me then, what is this land called?", I asked.
"This land, the country is called the Pristine Land, and the planet you and I are living on is Earth. The source of light you see outside the window is the Sun. It is a star, very far away from us." I suddenly could remember the existence of Sun, as the star had maintained it's identity throughout a universal parallel. I was flooding with memories of stars and planets around the Sun.
I asked him about some planets and stars, only to find out that the planets and stars had maintained their name and identity the same as they were in my memories which were devoid of almost everything. I flashed out for a moment in which I remembered me seeing the consciousness of people and the solar system I once lived in. I remembered the name I had given to myself, "The Forgotten" which gave me a spark.
"What is my name?" A question about my identity.
"Your name is Festor Linen"
