Ethan went to the town and stopped in front of the giant gate, so massive it could even fit a black-billed eagle.
"Oh my god, it's really gigantic," he muttered as he walked closer.
Before he could enter, three guards stopped him. They wore scarlet armor with a dragon emblem on their chests.
"Stop!" said the leader as Ethan stood still.
"What's the problem?" Ethan asked.
"You must pay three Low Stones to enter."
"What are Low Stones?" Ethan replied, confused.
"Are you ignorant, kid? Stones are the main currency everywhere," said a man standing behind the leader.
"So you're trading stones, and you call me ignorant?" Ethan smirked.
"These aren't normal stones, brat. They're Magic Stones—you can use them for agriculture and many other things."
"I see… Well, I don't own any." Ethan said with an innocent look.
"Get out of here, kid, before we teach you a lesson," the leader barked.
"Fine, fine," Ethan muttered, thinking: I don't want to cause trouble. Let's just sneak in with Kamui.
He ran to a spot far from the gate, touched the fence, and used Kamui. His body turned almost translucent, and he slipped through.
"That was really easy," he said as he walked inside, heading toward the nearest restaurant.
Soon, he stood in front of a luxurious building, though not quite a palace.
"Welcome to the Pearl Restaurant. How may I serve you?" a woman's voice greeted as he entered.
"I'd like a table, please," Ethan replied, trying to look noble. He looked so funny that even he almost laughed.
The waitress, however, believed he really was a noble and guided him to a table. Ethan chuckled quietly.
It's hilarious. She thinks I'm a noble… I wonder what her face will look like when I leave without paying.
"What would you like to order, sir?" the waitress asked, noticing his mischievous smile but choosing to ignore it.
Ethan ordered half the menu, which made her even more suspicious, but she said nothing.
Thirty minutes later, the table was full of dishes. Ethan started eating greedily. While eating, he opened his status screen.

"One moment, System. Why did The Art of the Sword change into The Art of Perfect Cutting?"
[ When you fought the Black-billed Eagle, you were completely focused. That triggered the upgrade—an ability from One Piece. ]
"Got it," Ethan nodded, finishing his food.
As he prepared to use Kamui to escape, sharp pain shot through his eye. His vision weakened.
"What's wrong with my eyes, System?" he asked, alarmed.
[ This is not the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Overusing it will make you blind. ]
"What?! I don't want to go blind!" Ethan panicked.
[ The System sells pills that can counter the effect, but you must take them monthly. They cost 20 points each. ]
"Really? Then buy ten!" Ethan said happily. He swallowed one pill immediately and felt relief wash over him.
Just as he was about to use Kamui, he noticed a girl sitting alone. Her skin and hair were both white, and she gave off a cold, distant aura.
Before Ethan could look at her more, the waitress approached.
"You have to pay, sir."
Damn, I forgot about that, Ethan thought.
Before he could respond, the white-haired girl spoke in a voice that sounded almost ethereal:
"Can't you pay, boy?"
"Well… actually, no," Ethan admitted after a moment of hesitation.
"All right. Waitress, I'll pay for him. And you, boy, don't go where you can't afford."
Ethan was stunned for a moment, then nodded and left the restaurant.
Her personality is strange… but she's kind-hearted. And beautiful too, he thought as he walked away.
