Raven opened the passenger door with a slow click.
"Get in," he said so softly.
Mi Rae didn't move. Her jaw tightened. "I'm not going anywhere with you. I can walk back to the set myself."
Raven's lips curved upward amusedly. "Back to the set?" He took a step closer, his shadow brushing over her. "Where you just put on the weakest fainting act in history?"
Her fingers curled into fists.
He leaned his elbow casually on the car roof, as though this was nothing more than a friendly chat. "You think they'll look at you the same way when you walk in there? Jehoon can smile for you all he wants, but even he won't be able to stop the whispers." His voice dipped lower. "Manager faints in front of Raven Park. Manager gets carried out like a damsel."
Mi Rae's anger shimmered in her eyes. But beneath it, she knew he was right. If she walked back now, she'd walk into a storm she wasn't ready for.
Raven straightened, his voice softening just a fraction. "Get in the car, Rachael."
