The owner of the Blood Tavern held a renowned reputation and had built such an enormous force. His own cultivation realm could not be weak. At the very least, he must be an Upper-level Supreme, perhaps even an Ultimate Supreme. Such a power would befit the influence he wielded.
"I still have some things to do, so I'll take my leave." Ethan cut off the conversation with Rain and strode out without further idle talk.
"Brother, won't you look over other bounty tasks?" Rain called after him.
"I won't waste my time now. I'm not strong enough yet. Even the simplest yellow-level tasks carry too much risk. I'll wait until I reach Nirvana before considering those," Ethan answered briskly, leaving the tavern behind.
But then a fragrant breath floated behind him.
Rain stepped out from behind the counter, leaning close to Ethan's ear and exhaling softly.
The unexpected nearness made Ethan shiver and a strange itch prick beneath his skin.
