The sound of tires crunching on sand pulled Ron's attention toward the road behind the beach.
Three black SUVs approached fast.
The doors opened, and six fully armed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents emerged in tactical formation.
"Unknown metahuman detected," one of them said into his comms. "Visual confirms. Power level… unclear."
Ron gave them a friendly wave.
"Hey. First time in this universe. Go easy on the welcome party?"
"Down on the ground, now!" the lead agent barked, raising his rifle.
> "System," Ron said calmly. "Open Quick Load."

Ten clones of Ron burst into existence in a ring around him.
"What the—? Engage the target!"
Bullets ripped through the air. But Ron's clones moved with Soru, dodging at near-invisible speeds. A few were hit and burst into smoke, but others closed the distance fast.
One grabbed an agent's arm and twisted, disarming him.
Another clone shouted, "Rasengan!" and slammed the spinning sphere into the chest plate of a second agent—sending him flying.
The real Ron stood still, hands in his pockets.
A bullet struck him—then bounced off.
> "Rubber body, courtesy of the Gomu Gomu no Mi," he said casually. "And Haki just in case."
He blurred forward and punched the third agent with a Haki-infused jab to the stomach, knocking him out cold.
Just as he turned to face the last one—
> SCREEECH!
A fourth SUV slid across the sand. The door opened.
Nick Fury stepped out.
Black trench coat. Eyepatch. Tactical calm.
"All units stand down," he said, watching Ron carefully. "He's not just some freak accident."
Ron turned, facing Fury directly.
"You're Nick Fury," he said with a grin. "Cool. Guess I'm right on schedule."
Fury didn't flinch. "Who are you?"
> Ron smiled. "A traveler."
He raised one hand and said three words:
