THE TALE OF MULTIVERSE PART 2

Chapter 2: Arrival in the Madness Universe

The trio—Kaito, Reno, and Tenzo—finally arrived in a bustling city within a strange, unfamiliar world.

Kaito looked at the device in his hand and grinned.

"Wow, Scento! This machine passed the test. Once we return, I'll pay you its full price."

Reno frowned.

"Scento shouldn't have given it to you in the first place. I told him not to."

Tenzo, standing beside them, shrugged.

"I needed the money. That's the only reason I handed it over."

Reno snapped, "And now we're stuck in this mess."

Kaito waved him off, laughing lightly.

"Relax. Nothing bad is going to happen."

But nearby, hidden in the shadows, a mysterious man whispered into a communicator.

"Boss... they've just arrived. Should we capture them now?"

Unaware of the threat, Kaito turned to his friends.

"Reno, I'm going to the jungle for training. You guys take this money, find a hotel, and wait for me there. I'll be back by evening."

Tenzo looked worried.

"But we don't know anything about the people here. What if they try to kill us?"

Reno chuckled.

"Come on, they're just like us. Nothing's going to happen."

Tenzo muttered, "I still think we should go back..."

Kaito said firmly,

"No. We'll stay here for three days. Then we'll move on to the next universe."

Reno asked, "What's this universe called, anyway?"

Kaito glanced at the machine.

"It says we're in the Madness Universe."

Tenzo groaned.

"See? The name itself sounds insane."

Later that day...

While Kaito ventured deep into the jungle to train, Reno and Tenzo searched for a hotel. On their way, they stumbled upon a disturbing scene—four men were beating up a young boy.

Without hesitation, Reno stepped forward.

"Why are you four ganging up on him?"

One of the thugs sneered,

"Because he's weak. In this world, the weak don't deserve to live. We're going to finish him."

Before they could strike again, Reno lunged at them. Within moments, he had all four men on the ground, beaten and barely conscious.

Reno stood over them, eyes blazing.

"So now that you're weaker than me... should I kill you?"

One of the thugs, still gasping for breath, growled,

"You don't even know who my brother is. If anything happens to me, your life and everyone you care about will be destroyed."

Without flinching, Reno struck again—finishing the threat.

"I'm not scared of your brother."

The boy who had been saved slowly stood up, covered in bruises.

"Thank you," he said, bowing slightly. "My name is Ruji. You saved me."

Tenzo eyed the beaten thugs nervously.

"Uh, you think maybe we should've let them go? What if that guy really comes back for revenge?"

Ruji smiled weakly.

"You helped me, so I'll help you too. I know a safe place—a hideout where people like me live. Weak ones. No one dares enter."

Reno raised an eyebrow.

"You were just getting beat up. How are you going to help us?"

Ruji replied with quiet confidence,

"Follow me. You'll see."

As they followed Ruji through the backstreets, Tenzo whispered to Reno,

"Just a while ago, you were acting all brave, saying you didn't fear anyone's brother. Why are you suddenly so quiet now?"

Reno rolled his eyes.

"Shut up, Tenzo..."
