Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Sixfold Thunder Blade – High-Level God of War?

Once Yao Rao left, Lu Gang gave Wei Wen and Luo Feng a quick overview of the Elite Training Camp.

"The Elite Training Camp offers the best physical infrastructure, top-tier instructors, and unrivaled training programs," he began. "But what really makes the difference are the facilities built from ancient civilization tech—relics. Those are the true game-changers when it comes to leveling up as a martial artist."

"Once you're inside, every aspect—your physical strength, movement techniques, blade skills, and combat instincts—will develop faster than if you trained on your own."

"If you manage to get in and make it through the grind, five years is usually enough to hit the God of War tier."

Lu Gang continued, "Now about the B-Rank assessment. The Hall of God of War has something called the Trial Tower. I've personally tried the B-Rank trial there."

"For someone with Wei Wen's growth rate, it should be manageable. But Luo Feng, be careful. If there's a test when you visit the global HQ, you might fail—unless you've been holding back."

"This camp doesn't accept ordinary talents. It's for the best of the best. You'll be surrounded by monsters in human skin."

"But that's the thing—you don't need to hide your skills or play modest. Especially not when the Head Instructor, Hong himself, wants to meet you. That alone shows how highly he regards you."

"In a place like this, modesty won't help. Only strength will earn you respect and resources. Show what you've got."

"As for meeting the Head Instructor, no need to be nervous. He appreciates real talent. I was lucky enough to meet him once too."

"But don't forget—strength always comes first. So, what's your next move?"

Wei Wen thought for a second. "Since my identity as a Mental Force Practitioner is already out in the open, we plan to take on tougher monsters."

Lu Gang nodded approvingly. "Good. Both of you have excellent potential as Psykers."

"Even if Luo Feng's slightly behind, he's still a solid mid-tier Warlord Psyker. And with that alone, he can match a high-tier Warlord-level martial artist."

"You, on the other hand, could already go toe-to-toe with a God of War–level fighter. I think it's time you trained in City 003. The pressure there will force you to grow faster."

Back then, Luo Feng was only a mid-tier Warlord-level Psyker, and he still led the Fire Hammer Squad into City 003. So Lu Gang wasn't wrong.

August 27, City 003

Meow!

The Shadowcats roared and launched themselves at Wei Wen. Several of them—both beast-soldier and beast-general class—attacked at once.

Shhk!

With one swift arc of his battle blade, Wei Wen cleaved through four of them in a flash. But in the blink of an eye, a low-level Commander-class Shadowcat was on him.

Its claws tore through the air with a shrieking sound.

Wei Wen didn't use his Psyker abilities.

Instead, his battle blade lashed out instinctively. The power started in his legs, transferred through his waist and torso, and exploded into his arm.

Crack—Crack—Crack—

His physical strength surged like a chain of detonations, layering force upon force into his right arm.

The Blood Shadow Blade, gripped tight in his hand, trembled with each pulse of force—like ripples building on the surface of water. It accelerated with each layer.

This was Stage Six of the Ninefold Thunder Blade Technique—unleashing a 4.9x power burst.

The blade tore through the air with a sonic boom.

Clang! Clang!

Their clashes were vicious—each movement a blur. Wind howled around them. The ground shook beneath their feet. But the Shadowcat couldn't touch him.

Here's the thing: realms like movement technique or blade technique aren't hard classifications. They're about precision and control.

Take "Micro Level" movement: it means dodging with the absolute minimum motion. Whether achieved by muscle memory or Mental Force manipulation, it counts.

Wei Wen had previously touched on a quasi-perfect level of movement, occasionally hitting that sweet spot during moments of clarity. But it wasn't consistent.

It was only after endless combat, feedback, and training that he truly stabilized his mastery.

The Ninefold Thunder Blade includes a movement technique as part of its core—Flowing Light Step.

After Luo Feng passed on his experience, Wei Wen mastered Stage Six of both the blade technique and the movement technique, officially reaching true perfect-level movement.

Thanks to Luo Feng's feedback, it became instinctual—always accessible.

Dodge. Dodge. Dodge.

No matter how wildly the Shadowcat attacked, Wei Wen dodged by the narrowest margins.

His blade? A flash of raw dominance. Sharp, overwhelming. Lightning in motion, bypassing claws and defenses, landing blow after blow.

Commander-class monsters are built to endure, but the S-Rank Blood Shadow Blade isn't made of paper. Deep cuts spread across its body, each one drawing blood.

Despite the Shadowcat's formidable resilience, it was covered in wounds within moments.

The fight lasted a full minute.

Blood soaked the beast's fur. Its strikes slowed. Then, Wei Wen's blade found its neck. One clean cut. It collapsed, twitched… and stopped moving.

Wei Wen had slain a low-tier Commander-class monster with martial skill alone—though it helped that Luo Feng and Lu Gang were distracting the others.

Also important: Luo Feng's mastery of the Ninefold Thunder Blade accelerated his Genetic Energy absorption rate—thus feeding back stronger gains to Wei Wen.

In the original text, Stage One of the Thunder Blade technique already doubled energy absorption efficiency. Stage Two and Three weren't double, but still boosted gains noticeably.

Pair that with Luo Feng's practice of Five Hearts Toward the Origin—a foundational internal technique to harmonize and amplify Genetic Force—and his cultivation speed was even higher.

About two weeks ago, Luo Feng hit low-tier Warlord level.

Now, thanks to feedback and his own practice, Wei Wen had hit mid-tier Warlord level—and not just barely.

A mid-tier Warlord's base stats, multiplied by a 4.9x burst from Stage Six of the Ninefold Thunder Blade, made him capable of directly dueling a low-tier Commander-class monster with just martial prowess.

As a Psyker?

Wei Wen's raw Mental Force strength alone was at low-level God of War. His amplification multiplier—based on Luo Feng's shared experience—had reached an incredible 6x.

With no defenses, even a high-tier Commander-class monster would fall to a single strike.

If he submitted the corpses of two such monsters right now, he could be officially ranked at the God of War level.

Whew...

"Killing a Commander-class monster using martial skills alone is still a massive drain." Wei Wen was panting, drenched in sweat.

He'd maintained a full-power Sixfold Thunder Blade stance for an entire minute, swinging his blade hundreds of times—each at nearly five times his base strength.

Now, his muscles ached like fire, and his skull pulsed from the mental focus it took to execute both perfect-level blade and movement technique simultaneously.
