HONK HONK
"Fucking bastard! Where the fuck did you come from?!" A truck driver screamed at the top of his lungs as the horn blared.
SCREECH SCREECH
He slammed the brakes with all his strength, hoping to stop before he crushed the kid who was about to be under his truck.
But alas, it was too late.
BANG
The driver felt something slamming the front of the truck before he saw a body flying like a broken kite. 'Ah, I'm dead!' The driver thought in horror.
The flying body then slammed into the windshield of a parked car, glass fragments piercing deep into the body.
The onlookers slowly widened their eyes, their minds going into overdrive as they were realizing just what had happened.
"Aaaaahhh!!!!"
A loud scream pierced the still street, breaking the silence, while another scream followed, this time from a woman who was standing just beside the car, its keys in her hands.
She looked at the body, her eyes quivering in shock. It was a young man, probably in his early 20s. Blood oozed out of his wounds, painting her white car red while white bones protruded out of his battered flesh. Yet to her utter shock, his finger twitched.
'Ah, Truck-kun, although I prayed to the gods to truck-kun me away into a fantasy world, it was supposed to be a joke, you know! Ha, this hurts a lot, but just thinking about the incoming hospital bill is hurting me more! I was just thrown out of my job too!'
Pain wrecked the young man's body; he could feel blood pooling on his mouth. But he couldn't stop his fingers from twitching, probably because of the unnatural way his elbow was bent. But the most concerning thing was how his eyes were slowly closing up.
'Wait, am I going to die here…?' the young man wondered inwardly, an extreme calmness filling his bloodiest heart as the darkness slowly crept in.
'If I am, then at least send me to a fantasy world and give me a Milf system or something…'
And soon, the young man fully closed his eyes, his fleeting heartbeat coming to a stop.
He has died.
.....
"Haaa!" Li Tian's whole body jerked as he snapped open his eyes, his chest flaring in panic.
"Fuck! That was one scary dream!" He exclaimed aloud as he tried to calm himself down.
"Hmm?" But then, he caught something. He wasn't in his room, nor even in a hospital. Unlike the usual buildings of concrete and iron he was used to. The whole room he was in was made out of wood.
From the floor to the walls, everything was wood. "Where am I?" Li Tian mumbled to himself, a frown creeping up onto his brows.
He sat up on the bed, sitting on the edge as he looked down at himself. "What happened…?" He questioned in a daze. These weren't his hands!
He snapped his neck, his eyes darting around the room, searching for something. And soon, he found it.
Pushing himself onto his feet, Li Tian stood up straight, his brows knitting together once again. 'I don't remember being this tall…' he mumbled inwardly.
Nonetheless, he began to walk to his left, towards a mirror. And as soon as he stood in front of it, his eyes widened while his heart skipped a beat.
"T-This…!"
Looking back at him, wasn't him. To be precise, not his body. This body had long, deep silver hair that fell all the way to his hips. His eyes were of a dark golden color. His skin, as pure as milk.
He wore deep green robes that had golden embroideries, matching his eyes. In total, he looked like a young master described in the cultivation novels.
"...So, I really did die, huh?" The young man mumbled aloud, his face still in a daze, yet a hint of clarity flickered in his eyes.
"Well, I did hope for a transmigration, and that is what I got," he continued to talk to himself as he turned his back in the mirror, now inspecting the room he was in.
"Although I wanted it to be a fantasy world, by the looks of it, I'm not in one," he added as he turned to his right, a fresh breeze gliding against his skin coming from the window.
"This probably is a cultivation world or something…." He said as he reached the window, and sure enough, what greeted him weren't castles and spires but giant pagodas that reached the heavens themselves.
"Whoa… I think it is better than a fantasy world. I can probably become an immortal here and live forever!"
Li Tian stayed back by the window, his eyes roaming around this different styled city while he breathed fresh air that was incomparable better than the pollution filled air he was used to.
And as this new situation began to set on, Li Tian couldn't help but think about his past life.
To put it in one word, his past life was: colourless.
He was an average guy, not too handsome or ugly; not too tall or short. He got average grades in school and worked an average job in an average company.
But the one thing he wasn't average in, was reading novels. He consumed so many novels that if the books were stacked, it could reach the moon! He read so many books in so many genres, from romance novels, to fantasy, cultivation, system, he read them all.
But his favorite were fantasy and cultivation novels, especially the ones with a system. The cheat of an ability that the protagonists got, which helped them face slap all the bitchy young masters and tame the untamable fairies and princesses.
And just then,
"Wait, talking about the system, shouldn't I get one as well?" He wondered, doubt creeping in his heart. "I mean, I checked all the requirements, right? I died; I transmigrated, and even got myself a handsome body. I should have one, right…?"
He squinted his eyes, thinking about the system and all, "then, should I say the magic words?" He wondered.
Gulping down his saliva, he clenched his fists, his heartbeat quickening, and with a resolute expression filling his eyes, he uttered,
"Open Status!"
