Our events begin with Kazuma standing atop a mountain, his eyes widening in astonishment.
The camera pans to show the tongues of fire devouring the sandy roads and houses below.
Kazuma (Impulsively, with alarm):
"Could it be that Eden has broken the treaty?"
(He argues with himself, muttering):
"I doubt it! The contract binds him, and he dreads and fears death."
Kazuma descends from the mountaintop, rushing at full speed, his breath becoming ragged from the effort and anxiety.
Kazuma (Gasping):
"It seems a hidden enemy has taken us by surprise with an attack. This cannot be Eden's doing."
(He clenches his fist, his voice slightly stammering):
"I will soon uncover the truth of the matter..."
Kazuma enters the edges of the village, where the flames are consuming the place, and the houses are literally destroyed.
There was a man standing motionless amidst the rubble.
Kazuma stopped and advanced towards him with cautious steps, then extended his hand and touched the man's shoulder.
But the man turned his body with terrifying slowness and spat a spray of black, viscous drool. His face was covered in black pustules and boils, and his skin was dark and disfigured.
Kazuma fell onto his backside from the sheer shock and disgust.
Kazuma (His voice trembling with horror):
"My feeling was right... A catastrophe has occurred here, a catastrophe I don't recognize!"
Kazuma rose with lightning speed and began running through every alley, searching for an explanation or survivors.
While running, he strongly collided with another person, and both fell to the ground.
(Kazuma clutches the back of his head in pain):
"Ouch! I sincerely apologize... Are you okay? What is happening here?"
(After Kazuma collided with the other person, we hear a sharp voice):
Rin:
"WATCH OUT! What's wrong with you?"
Kazuma opens his eyes in surprise, then an overwhelming, almost unbelievable joy spreads across his face.
We see that it is Rin; her hair is tied back tightly, and she has black lines under her eyes and on her cheek (to hide tears or signs of exhaustion). She was carrying a pistol in her hand.
Rin (In a sharp voice mixed with anger and worry):
"Where have you disappeared to all this time, boy?"
Kazuma rose with lightning speed (with his agile body) and rushed towards her, hugging her tightly.
Kazuma (In a voice of sheer disbelief and great relief):
"I'm truly happy! I'm so happy I found you. I was afraid something bad had happened to you."
Rin (Sharply pushing him away slightly to break the hug):
"Get off me, then tell me where you've been. This is no time for sentiment, Kazuma."
Kazuma:
"I infiltrated Hiden's city with him. It's a very long story, but it can wait."
(Kazuma pauses, and his sharp eyes turn towards the sight of the immense destruction around them, his voice gradually fading.)
Kazuma (With quiet gloom):
"What happened here, Rin? Tell me."
Rin (Letting out a deep, heavy sigh):
"I will tell you all the details... but not here."
⏳ Flashback: The Morning of the Terrifying Announcement
Narrator:
"After Hiden and Kazuma boarded the departing train, let's look at the events that swept through the city in their absence."
Early morning broke. Touji was knocking on the door with intense violence and worry.
Touji (In a tense, alarming voice):
"Rin! Open the door, hurry up, Rin!"
We see Rin open the door, her eyes tired, her face pale and exhausted.
Touji (His face clearly marked with signs of worry):
"Something very bad has happened, Rin. Worse than you can imagine."
Rin (Trying to shake off the sleep and fatigue):
"What is this news, Touji? Speak clearly! Don't add to my worry."
Touji (Overwhelmed by intense fear):
"Rin... While you were both sleeping, something worse was happening... something we never expected."
(The camera moves up quickly, then descends, revealing the scene):
In front of the Nilsson family mansion, a huge crowd of people gathered, holding racist, hostile banners and slogans.
Crowds (In one booming voice):
"Get out of here! We don't want you anymore!"
(Rin continues to listen to Touji in the fragmented scene/memories):
Rin (In a tense, anxious voice):
"Do you know the reason for this, Touji? What awakened this hatred?"
Touji (Explaining in detail and frustration):
"Rin, the matter is extremely serious. Someone leaked 'The Documents'."
Rin (Questioning):
"What documents are you talking about? Don't scatter the conversation."
Touji (With suppressed anger):
"Don't be naive, Rin! The documents given by that old man who claimed to be the 'Scorpion Leader'!"
Rin (Calming down, having remembered):
"Ah... I remember them. But who leaked them? How did that happen?"
Touji (With a calm that carries despair):
"We don't know the exact reason. Since the documents concerned you and Kazuma, we thought they were safe, but we saw copies of them spreading throughout the entire village."
Rin:
"What will solve this difficult problem now?"
Touji (With a coldness that reflects a sense of helplessness):
"I don't know, Rin. I don't know what we'll do to get out of this political disaster."
(Outside, people continue to throw garbage and bags at the mansion walls, while the guards fend them off with all their strength to protect the entrance.)
🏰 Inside the Nilsson Mansion
In his luxurious office inside the mansion, Nilsson was wearing his elegant black formal suit. He sits behind his large desk, resting his palms on his cheeks, deep in thought.
Sitting opposite him is a short, muscular man with wide eyes and a distinctive black mark on his forehead. He wears a brown formal uniform, and his hair is short, rough blonde. This is Titi.
The Man (Titi):
"So, what is your reaction to these agitated crowds? It seems the situation has gotten out of hand, Nilsson."
Nilsson (Sighing deeply):
"I don't know... I don't have an easy answer. But I think I will resort to the harsh option, the option that stops this madness."
Titi (With a warning calm):
"Don't you dare, brother! You will regret taking a hasty step. This crowd doesn't want you to succeed."
Nilsson (With a firm calm):
"Brother Titi, I will go out and talk to them. I cannot hide."
Titi (In a strong tone of advice):
"Your going out now will cause much bigger problems! You must think about the consequences of your actions. You are not in a position of strength."
Nilsson (With decisive seriousness):
"I will go out, and no one will stop me from facing my destiny."
(We return to the scene inside the Flashback):
Nilsson ascended to the mansion's upper balcony overlooking the crowds. His stance was balanced, his hands clasped behind his back as if preparing for battle.
A sudden, brief silence fell over the crowds as they lifted their gaze to him.
Nilsson took a deep, slow breath, then began to speak.
Nilsson (With a calm that carried feigned confidence):
"People. I do not know the reason for this booming shouting, nor for these baseless chants. However, I feel that an unseen hand is orchestrating a conspiracy woven against me to ignite discord between us."
At that moment, one of the men from the heart of the crowd raised a document in his hand, and his voice was picked up by the local microphones.
The Man (In a loud, explicit voice):
"What about these documents? What is your explanation for them, Nilsson? They do not lie!"
Nilsson (Slight signs of tension appeared on his face, but he tried to hide them):
"Please, observe silence now. Do not let anyone exploit you. We will address this matter and clarify every point mentioned in it."
Another voice intervened from the attendees, addressing the crowds:
"Did you see? His voice trembled and he was seized with tension as soon as he saw the documents! This is proof of guilt!"
The murmuring returned to the crowds, and the shouting rose again. Nilsson gripped his hands behind his back and regained his composure.
Nilsson (In a loud, serious voice that accepted no debate):
"I will speak to you with utmost frankness and boldness: I will not relinquish my presidential position, no matter the pressure."
(He raises his voice to a level of defiance):
"You alone are the losers in this dirty game if you respond to the conspiracy. As for me, I will not back down an inch from my position or my responsibility!"
