Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Virtual Idol Project

As Su Yu walked out of the movie theater, his mind was still lingering on the film.

The male lead had been undeniably terrible, but the ending—where the two heroines ended up together—was absolutely absurd.

Fortunately, Miura Yumiko and Yuigahama Yui were both normal girls.

The group made their way to the train station.

Miura Yumiko and Ebina Hina eventually split off, leaving Su Yu and Yuigahama alone.

Watching their figures disappear into the distance, Su Yu then turned and walked off with Yuigahama.

Recalling the store where he had previously bought clothes for Kawasaki Saki, Su Yu decided to take Yuigahama there.

To his surprise, Yuigahama wasn't opposed to the idea of trying on professional attire. In fact, she was quite curious about how she'd look in it.

After selecting a few outfits, she stepped into the fitting room.

Ten minutes later, she emerged, dressed in a gray office suit.

"How do I look, Su Yu-kun?" Yuigahama asked expectantly, eager for his opinion.

Su Yu scrutinized her for a moment before nodding. "You'd make a great secretary."

"Really?" Yuigahama's eyes lit up.

"Mhmm. I'll even have a resting lounge prepared for you in the office," Su Yu added with a smirk.

Yuigahama's face instantly turned red. "Su Yu-kun, you're such a bad guy!"

"Take everything you tried on," Su Yu instructed, before adding, "Now, let's find some heels for you. Oh, and—"

His words trailed off as his gaze landed on Yuigahama's legs.

She quickly caught on, and as if realizing something, her face grew even redder.

Half an hour later, Su Yu carried the shopping bags, glancing at their contents before looking back at Yuigahama.

Had she… overthought things?

Feeling his gaze, Yuigahama turned away, her cheeks flushed.

Back at Sakura Dormitory

Su Yu started preparing dinner.

Meanwhile, Yuigahama played video games with Kawasaki Keika.

She was surprisingly good with children. Then again, Keika was a well-behaved and sensible girl.

Dinner was soon ready, and by the time everyone had finished eating, the sun had begun to set.

Keika quietly worked on her homework, not once asking when her sister would return.

She knew that her sister would be back on time. After all, Su Yu had given her a job that wasn't too demanding.

Her sister had told her so.

For that, Keika was deeply grateful to Su Yu.

Before, her sister used to come home exhausted, barely able to stay awake once she lay down.

Even Keika could sense the overwhelming fatigue.

But now, her sister slept soundly every night, free from exhaustion—and it was all thanks to Su Yu.

If only Su Yu wasn't already taken…

Deep down, Keika wished her sister could be with Su Yu. That way, her sister would surely be happy.

As Su Yu and Yuigahama headed upstairs, Keika watched them go, then turned her gaze toward Hiratsuka-sensei.

She couldn't understand why Hiratsuka-sensei seemed so unfriendly toward Su Yu.

Su Yu was such a good person…

In Su Yu's Room

Su Yu sat at his desk, typing out a new original anime project.

This was going to be a long-running series.

Lighthearted, heartwarming, and comedic—there was so much he could incorporate into it.

A bunny café.

A camping story.

A fishing trip.

Girls becoming idols to save a declining shopping district.

Girls forming an idol group to rescue their school.

The more he wrote, the more he realized just how many original anime could come from this concept.

If he turned the idol girls into a franchise, integrating both anime and real-world projects—or even launching a virtual idol project—

Wouldn't that be another goldmine?

Virtual idols were still in their early stages in this world.

Within the next five years, many companies would begin experimenting with them.

In ten years, the competition would be intense.

But if he started now, he could build a virtual idol brand that, within a year, would already have widespread popularity.

He could even produce an anime to tell their story.

"Instead of acquiring an idol agency, why not just establish my own? There are plenty of girls who dream of becoming idols—no need to waste too much money."

With that thought, Su Yu picked up his phone.

Whether it was for the virtual idol project or Miura Yumiko's future, an idol agency would be crucial.

He called Yukinoshita Haruno.

After a few rings, she picked up.

"Su Yu-kun, did you miss me?"

"Got time? I want to discuss something with you." Su Yu got straight to the point.

"Another idea?" Haruno sounded intrigued.

"Yeah. And this one might be just as valuable as Mirai Manga Publishing." Su Yu gazed out the window.

"Should I come to Sakura Dorm, or are you coming to the bar?"

"I'll go to the bar. I feel like having a drink."

"Not inviting me over? Is it because of your girlfriend?" Haruno teased. "You're so lucky, Su Yu-kun. Little Yukino is making anime for you, and you've got a sweet, gentle girlfriend."

"Is the ojou-sama getting jealous?"

"Of course I am. You're mine, and yet other girls keep taking you away. If only I could steal you back."

"When did I ever become yours?"

"Take a guess."

"I have no clue."

"Even though you totally know the answer…"

"Alright, I'll be there soon."

Su Yu ended the call and quickly finished typing out his ideas before leaving his room.

He hesitated briefly, then walked over to a smaller bedroom and pushed the door open.

Inside, Yuigahama was reading through a few sheets of paper.

Hearing the door, she turned toward Su Yu.

"I need to head out for a bit. I might be back late. Get some rest early," Su Yu said softly.

"Are you meeting another girl?" Yuigahama blinked.

"Yukinoshita Haruno." Su Yu answered honestly.

"Su Yu-kun, you better not—" Yuigahama started, then cut herself off.

"She's my business partner, not what you're thinking. Don't overthink it," Su Yu reassured her.

"I was just reminding you," Yuigahama said with an embarrassed smile.

Seeing that, Su Yu stepped into the room.

Yuigahama's face instantly turned red as he approached her.

When he reached the bed, she closed her eyes—and the next moment, their lips met.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she deepened the kiss.

It wasn't until a few minutes later that she reluctantly let go.

Su Yu gently kissed her forehead before finally leaving the room.

At the Bar – Angel's Stairway

Because there weren't many cars on the road, it only took Su Yu about half an hour to reach his destination.

After parking his motorcycle, he took the elevator up and entered the Angel's Stairway bar.

As he stepped inside, the soft melody of a piano filled the air.

Without hesitation, he headed toward Haruno's private lounge.

Her personal driver spotted him and immediately opened the door for him.

Su Yu gave the man a quick glance before stepping inside.

Inside the room, Haruno sat with a knowing smile on her face, watching him intently.

Su Yu closed the door behind him and walked over to the sofa across from her, taking a seat.

Then, he pulled out the document he had prepared and handed it to her.

Haruno accepted it, her playful smirk fading as she carefully began reading through Su Yu's proposal.

(t/n: I am starting to think shimaidon might just not be bad after all…)
