Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: System Refresh Incoming

Afternoon – The Final Hours Before the Exam

Since the exam was scheduled for tomorrow, tennis club practice only lasted about an hour.

Su Yu returned to Sakura Hall early—

And found Hiratsuka Shizuka reading a manga while three girls studied his notes.

He chose to ignore his teacher's blatant slacking off.

Heading upstairs, he began working on his latest manga chapter.

With plenty of time this week, he was already close to finishing Chapter 5 of Yuru Camp.

Once complete, that meant his manga's first volume was nearly ready for release.

Before dinner, Miura Yumiko knocked on Su Yu's door again.

This time, Su Yu checked her affection level.

69%.

Just 1% away from 70%—where a system reward would likely trigger.

Anyone could guess what that last 1% required.

But—

Su Yu refused to cross that line.

If he took advantage of Yumiko for a reward, then he wouldn't deserve the love of Yui and Yukino.

Principles and boundaries mattered.

No matter how tempting the system's rewards were, he would never break his own moral code.

Besides, his relationship with Yumiko hadn't reached that level yet.

If it had been Yui or Yukino…

Well—maybe he would have—

…No. Not the point.

After dinner, Su Yu once again escorted two girls to the station.

As usual, Ebina Hina walked ahead, giving them space.

Holding Yumiko's small hand, Su Yu walked slowly, speaking very little—

Yet Yumiko felt truly happy.

Just before reaching the station, Su Yu glanced at her.

"Tomorrow afternoon, let's all go to a movie together."

Yumiko nodded immediately.

"On Saturday, I have plans with a friend. Sunday, I'll be at Flash Animation. Hopefully, I'll get to hear your singing."

Yumiko's eyes shined with determination.

"I'll work hard—I won't disappoint you, Su Yu-kun."

Su Yu smiled at her.

Then, taking a quick glance at Ebina ahead, he leaned in and kissed Yumiko's cheek.

Her face turned bright red—

They were already at the station, but she still didn't want to leave.

Before she could say anything, they arrived.

Su Yu watched the two girls board their train—then checked the time.

The system should refresh around tomorrow's lunch break…

Thursday – Exam Day

After his morning run, Su Yu returned to Sakura Hall and found Yuigahama Yui already awake.

Since the exam was today, she had gone to bed early the night before.

Whether she actually memorized anything… that was another matter.

After breakfast, the three headed to school.

Checking on their confidence levels—

"I memorized a lot last night! If those questions appear, I'll definitely answer them!" Yui declared with a proud smile.

"…Should be fine," Kawasaki Saki responded indifferently.

Her grades were consistently above average, so she wasn't particularly worried.

Seeing their reactions, Su Yu didn't ask further.

At the school gate, Miura Yumiko and Ebina Hina were already waiting.

They headed upstairs together.

As soon as Yuigahama Yui received her test paper, she felt nervous.

Until—

"…Wait."

Her eyes widened.

These questions… they're exactly the ones Su Yu wrote in his notes!

She immediately recognized them—and remembered the answers.

Yui quickly filled in the answers, then glanced nervously at the proctor.

This… this isn't cheating, right?

She wasn't the only one thinking that—

Kawasaki Saki, Miura Yumiko, and Ebina Hina all had the same realization.

Meanwhile—

Su Yu calmly answered his paper.

Since he had already gone through these questions, there was zero difficulty.

In less than 30 minutes, he finished the entire test and stood up to submit it.

The proctor blinked in surprise.

After Su Yu turned in his paper, the teacher glanced through it—

And stared at Su Yu again.

By now, Su Yu was back at his desk, casually drawing manga.

While students couldn't leave until the exam was over, the teacher didn't bother stopping him.

One look at Su Yu's test was enough to tell—his answers were flawless.

One nice thing about exams—

Lunch break started earlier than usual.

Su Yu's speed in finishing his test had shocked everyone.

Normally, even if students finished early, they waited before submitting their paper.

But Su Yu had turned it in almost instantly.

That meant one of two things:

The test was so easy for him that he didn't need extra time.He wrote random answers and didn't care about his grade.

Anyone who knew Su Yu—especially Hikigaya Hachiman and Totsuka Saika—knew it was the first reason.

Su Yu never did anything unless he was confident.

With the morning exam finished, it was time to relax over lunch.

At the Service Club, Yuigahama Yui stared at Su Yu.

"…Su Yu-kun. How did you do that?!"

"Did you see the test beforehand?"

Yui's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"Yui, that's called exam prediction," Ebina Hina smirked.

"Su Yu-kun's notes even contained extra topics that didn't appear—which means he thought even further ahead."

"Those extra topics might appear on final exams instead," Yukinoshita Yukino added with a smug smile.

"…R-Really?! Su Yu-kun?!" Yui gasped.

Su Yu nodded calmly.

Miura Yumiko and Kawasaki Saki remained silent, but their respect for Su Yu was obvious.

Then—

"Su Yu-kun," Yukino smirked.

"Even if you guessed correctly this time, you still might not beat my score."

"I can't wait to see your face when you lose."

Su Yu raised an eyebrow.

"Don't be so cocky, Yukino."

"If you lose, I want to see you wear Yui's maid outfit."

Yukino laughed softly.

"Then I want to see you wear it too."

"…But that's not all."

Su Yu leaned in close, whispering something in Yukino's ear.

Her face immediately turned red—then she glared at him angrily.

Su Yu just grinned.

Yui was dying of curiosity but didn't ask.

It was a private couple's conversation, after all.

She knew—if Su Yu whispered something to her, Yukino wouldn't ask either.

After lunch, Su Yu checked the time—

Only a few more minutes until the system refreshed.

He left the clubroom and headed to the rooftop.

As the virtual screen appeared before him, he reached out—

And pressed the claim button.
