Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Going to School

After finishing the call with Tony, Raymond couldn't be bothered to refuse the ten million. When the rich man's money is offered, why turn it down?

He even waved his hand grandly and gave each of the three employees a generous bonus.

"Thank you, boss!"

Except for David, who grew up in a psychiatric hospital and truly doesn't care much about money, the two female employees were all smiles, and they couldn't be happier.

After handing out the bonuses, Raymond took the three of them out for a big meal to celebrate the first successful deal of the agency.

--

The next morning, Raymond drove Skye and David out of the office.

The office would temporarily be looked after by Beth, which wasn't much of a challenge for her.

She simply needed to greet any customers who came in, gather information about the cases if possible, or if it was inconvenient, arrange a meeting time with Raymond.

This amount of work was light for Beth.

Moreover, if anything urgent came up, she could always contact Raymond.

With Raymond's speed, he could return in the blink of an eye.

"Boss, where exactly are you taking us?" Not long after getting in the car, Skye couldn't help but ask curiously.

"To school—" Raymond said with a smile.

"School??"

Skye wondered if she had heard it wrong. She glanced at David and saw that he was just as surprised.

One of them was a powerful mutant, the other was the world's top hacker. Did they really need to go to school?

"Are you serious, boss?" Skye asked, somewhat in disbelief.

"Yes."

At that moment, Skye could tell Raymond wasn't joking, and she deflated. "Can we not go?"

"We can't."

"But the thing is, at our age, do we really need to go to school? What can we learn? Who would teach us?" Skye still tried to argue.

"Of course, I'll teach you. Do you think I'm not qualified to teach you?" Raymond gave her a glance.

"Eh?"

Skye hadn't expected Raymond to answer like that.

"Alright, when we get there, you'll understand. Don't worry, it will be nothing like what you think," Raymond said with a smile.

Raymond's destination, of course, was the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Academy.

Even though the work at the academy had become almost irrelevant to him, he didn't want to be a man of broken promises.

Since he had promised, he would go ahead with it.

Moreover, from now on, he could simply have Deadshot's sub-personality use Shadow Clone to come over, and he wouldn't need to go himself.

Today, his main purpose was to do some handover, meet his students, and let Skye and David attend a semester of classes to gain some experience in this area.

Skye didn't need to be mentioned; she was originally a tech-geek type of girl. She wasn't completely powerless, but she certainly wasn't strong either.

Before her Inhuman bloodline was activated, her combat strength was basically that of an average person.

David, though, had the potential of a level 5 mutant, and he shouldn't be weak by now.

But the abilities of mutants were not all-powerful. Unless he had already reached his peak, it was still necessary to learn how to adapt to modern warfare.

Skye was in the same situation.

Even if her Inhuman bloodline had been activated, making her a Quake, she still needed to learn.

Raymond also wanted to use this opportunity to train them, killing two birds with one stone.

As for whether this was in line with the academy's rules, Raymond wasn't sure, but he didn't think it would be a problem.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy occasionally had exchange students from other top institutions, but it wasn't as extreme as S.H.I.E.L.D. itself.

Moreover, Leonid had said beforehand that if he couldn't help with something like this, it would be a slap in his own face.

Sure enough, when Raymond brought Skye and David to the academy and mentioned this matter to Leonid, he didn't object.

For something like this that wasn't too out of line, he could easily approve it.

--

"Most of you should already know about me, so I won't introduce myself too much."

Holding a list with photos of dozens of students, temporarily controlled by Deadshot's sub-personality, 'Raymond' was recognizing the students one by one.

Skye and David were among them, sitting upright and showing no sign that they knew 'Raymond.'

This was something Raymond had requested earlier: here, they were just students, so they shouldn't call him boss.

"The students in this academy are all elites in their respective fields, and you are the elites of the elites. You are very likely to become core members or senior officers of S.H.I.E.L.D., or work in some special departments..."

"But here, you are nothing!"

"Remember, in my class, my word is law. It cannot be violated. Even if I tell you to eat shit, you must do it immediately!" (TL/N: Ayoo???)

"If anyone has any objections, you can leave now. I can pretend I never saw you."

"But after today, if anyone wants to quit or desert, I will use all my power to ensure that you will never rise again in your career. Do you understand?!"

"Understood!" Everyone responded in unison.

"Then now, anyone who wants to leave can go. I will keep my word."

After 'Raymond' said this, he waited for a while.

When no one left, he continued, "Alright, since no one has chosen to leave, it means everyone accepts my conditions. I now declare the class officially started..."

In his mind, Raymond was also curious about how Deadshot's sub-personality would train these students.

This was a rather novel experience for him, as he had never been inside Deadshot's immersive mode and learned any of his abilities.

After all, what he had needed before wasn't the ability to adapt to modern warfare but abilities that would increase his overall stats.

From that perspective, Deadshot's sub-personality didn't offer much value to him.

Even now, he was just watching for entertainment.

Not just him, but even Akainu's and Orochimaru's sub-personalities, who had no exposure to modern warfare, were watching with great interest.

It was probably only Tao Pai Pai and Megatron's sub-personalities who weren't too interested in this.

One came from an alternate Earth where technology was far more advanced, and the other was from the planet Cybertron, where technology was far ahead of Earth's.

They had no interest in this kind of small-time modern warfare.

Raymond watched for a while and then lost interest.

So, he spent 100 universal points and entered Tao Pai Pai's sub-personality's world again, intending to diligently train his Ki.

At this stage, what mattered most to him was not activating new sub-personalities but improving his Ki to a higher level.

This would enable him to quickly use the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique, which would help with many of his plans.
