Chapter 30 - Chapter Thirty (30)

Yvonne: "Morning, everyone. Let's get started. And please—let's be honest today, no hiding things."

Whitney: "Honest? Are we really ready for that?"

Andrew: "Depends… what kind of honesty are we talking about?"

Adrian: "Honesty? Funny you bring that up… I've always wondered why some things never make it to the reports."

Yvonne: "…What do you mean, Adrian?"

Adrian: "Oh, nothing. Just… little inconsistencies. Things I noticed in past projects that never got addressed."

Whitney: "Inconsistencies? Now you're sounding like a detective."

Andrew: "Detective Adrian? I think I'd pay to see that."

Adrian: "Laugh all you want. But some things from previous teams weren't as perfect as people think."

Yvonne: "Are you implying something happened before this team?"

Adrian: "…I'm just saying that someone may have been… less than truthful."

Jordan: "Careful, Adrian. Where's this going?"

Adrian: "Maybe into… the shadows of our history. The things that didn't make the board reports."

Whitney: "Shadows of history? Now I'm intrigued—and terrified."

Andrew: "Yvonne… what is he talking about?"

Yvonne: "I… I don't know. But I have a feeling this isn't random."

Adrian: "Exactly. Not random at all. Let's take today's session as a test. Who's hiding what? Who's covering mistakes? Who's really contributing?"

Jordan: "That's… extreme."

Whitney: "Extreme and manipulative. Classic Adrian."

Andrew: "Maybe, but… could he be right?"

Yvonne: "Don't start doubting yourself, Andrew. We all know your work is solid."

Adrian: "…Is it, though? That workflow guide—have you checked every data point? Every anomaly? Or is someone going to tell me that I need to trust blindly?"

Andrew: "I triple-checked it. Everything's accounted for."

Adrian: "We'll see. Because sometimes, what seems perfect isn't what it seems."

Whitney: "Ugh. Adrian's at it again. Can we just focus on the project without… haunting the past?"

Yvonne: "Maybe not. I think he's trying to bring the past to light. There are things we don't know about this office… things that explain why certain people behave the way they do."

Jordan: "Like what?"

Yvonne: "…I found some old memos in the archives last week. Reports of conflicts, sabotage, missing documents… and strangely, all linked to previous team members who are now gone."

Andrew: "Gone? Like… they quit?"

Yvonne: "…Some quit, some disappeared entirely. And oddly, the official records don't explain why."

Whitney: "Wait… are you saying someone erased the evidence?"

Yvonne: "I'm saying… something's been covered up."

Adrian: "…Interesting. So now you're digging into the past? Careful, Yvonne. Sometimes the past bites back."

Andrew: "This is getting creepy. Are we talking office drama or something… darker?"

Adrian: "…Depends on how deep you're willing to go."

Jordan: "Adrian, what's your game? Are you threatening us or… helping us?"

Adrian: "…Neither. I'm testing. Let's see who cracks under pressure, who's hiding secrets, and who's brave enough to face the truth."

Whitney: "I'm already regretting coming in today."

Yvonne: "No. We're stronger than fear. We face this together."

Adrian: "…Bold words, Yvonne. But bold words won't protect you when history resurfaces."

Andrew: "…History? Are you talking about the old project files that went missing?"

Adrian: "Exactly. The files that showed anomalies in workflow and mysterious losses. Things conveniently forgotten—or erased."

Whitney: "Wait. Are you telling me someone in the office was… sabotaging? All those reports that vanished?"

Adrian: "Not someone. Multiple people. And I have reason to believe the person hiding the truth is still… close."

Yvonne: "Close? You mean… one of us?"

Adrian: "…Maybe. Maybe not. But let's test loyalty, shall we? Andrew, why don't you walk me through your resource guide again?"

Andrew: "…Again? We've reviewed it already."

Adrian: "I want to know every detail. Every potential flaw. Mistakes are easier to spot than perfection."

Andrew: "…Fine. Step one…"

Whitney whispered to Yvonne: "He's up to something. I can feel it. Something's brewing."

Yvonne: "…I know. And I think it's tied to those old memos I found. There's a pattern, Whitney. Adrian's not random—he knows more than he's letting on."

Whitney: "Great. Just what I wanted. Mystery and danger for lunch."

Jordan: "Yvonne… are you sure about this? We could just ignore him."

Yvonne: "Ignore him, Jordan? Adrian thrives on that. The only way forward is to face it—head-on."

Adrian: "…Good. Courage. I like that. It makes this more interesting."

Andrew: "This… is starting to feel personal. Like he's digging into us individually."

Yvonne: "That's exactly what he's doing. But it works both ways. We can dig too—learn the truth about past mistakes and hidden agendas."

Adrian: "…Now you're speaking my language."

Whitney: "I feel like I've stepped into a thriller novel."

Andrew: "More like a nightmare disguised as a team meeting."

Adrian: "Exactly. And by the end of today… we'll know who's hiding what."

Yvonne: "Or at least, we'll know who stands with integrity. That's what matters."

Adrian: "…Integrity. A fragile thing, isn't it?"

Whitney: "Too fragile for comfort."

Jordan: "Okay… so, what now? How do we handle this without falling apart?"

Yvonne: "Step one—document everything. Step two—stay calm. Step three—listen carefully. There's more than meets the eye here."

Andrew: "…And if he's bluffing?"

Yvonne: "He's not bluffing. Look at his smirk—he knows something we don't. And I intend to find out what."

Whitney: "Great… detective Yvonne is back in action."

Yvonne: "Better than detective Adrian controlling the narrative."

Adrian: "…Detective? Bold. I like your fire. But let's see if you can sustain it under pressure."

Andrew: "…Yvonne, what exactly are we uncovering?"

Yvonne: "…I don't know fully yet. But I have a feeling it's connected to missing memos, unexplained project failures, and maybe… the reason the team used to struggle before we arrived."

Whitney: "So, the office has… skeletons?"

Yvonne: "…More than skeletons. Secrets. And Adrian seems determined to see if we can handle them."

Adrian: "…Or perhaps he wants to see if we can survive them."

Andrew: "…Survive what exactly?"

Adrian: "…Time will tell. History has a way of repeating itself—unless you stop it."

Yvonne: "…Well then, we're stopping it. Together."

Whitney: "…This is officially the weirdest Monday of my life."

Jordan: "And it's only the beginning."

Adrian: "…Exactly. Only the beginning
