Chapter 2 - System Error #%!&@%719

" Hmmm well isn't this great, goddamn mortals. Ugh I hate this plain of existence." Death strode forward capturing the soul in front of him. As death examinined the soul in front of him he found something weird.

" Wake up idiot." Death was not impressed by this turn of events. This goddamn mortal wasn't pure Ondun.

Just my luck I make a move come to this goddamn lower plain and now it seems I should have just sent a lackey.

"Hey, I said wake up!!" Death's voice thundered through Daragon's soul like lightning through a conductor.

"Ugh, what's going on shouldn't I be dead." Daragon felt extreme pain at this point."Whats wrong with me why do I feel like I've been hit by a truck?" Daragon felt like garbage heated up and burnt to a crisp.

"Bout time you came to," death infused his voice with a much malice as he could without actually causing the soul in front of him to wither out of existence. Daragon screamed like he'd been dipped in the coldest ice that had ever been created.

"I've decided you'll be reborn, just not to the Ondun. However you still need to be punished, so I'll give you a choice. One be wiped from existence, two you can experience death and I mean every death imaginable. After which you'll be reborn. Make your choice mortal." Daragon finally got some bearing as to his situation.

It seemed that the god of death was here and he was on the verge of being wiped out, completely. Daragon made a decision as quick as he could.

"I choose to be punished not wiped out, I can handle it." Daragon said bravely. I'll claw my way back to the top once I'm reborn.

Death started laughing it was a horrible sound like nails on a chalkboard, it pierced through Daragon's soul like a hot knife through butter.

"Mortal, by the time you're reborn you won't even remember how to drool properly." Death smiled, a grin so sinister that Daragon shivered down to the very core of his existence.

"First I need to wipe out the half of your soul that is Ondun, this is going to hurt. Of course just so you know i could make it painless but I won't. Consider it punishment for getting me to come to this backwater hovel plain of existence. Once that is done, you'll experience death in every way imaginable. Even hell will weap for your soul." Death said no more.

As Death waved his hand Daragon screamed for what seemed like for ever as half his soul was wiped out of existence. Then began his punishment.

Daragon's awareness was very high, as he began to die over and over again, he was aware. Aware when he died as a still birth, aware as he died by drowning, fire dismemberment. Daragon kept track of his death's but after 10,000 he began to lose his sanity counting became the least of his worries, as it seemed every death came immediately following the one before it. When he died of old age time had been sped up just so he could experience it faster.

By his millionth death his eyes had lost any semblance of brightness, he'd become like a zombie wondering how death had so many variations. By his billionth death, Daragon no longer knew who he was or why he kept dying only that every second, every minute, every hour would bring a new way to die.

"Don't you think this has gone on long enough?" Life questioned Death. Death stared at Life like she was an idiot.

"It has and it hasn't, do you think I'm doing this for fun. Like I told this mortal, even hell would weap for him. 75 yrs he's been dying there is 25 more years to go till he's experienced every death imaginable. If he makes it and is reborn, then the balance should be maintained if only barely. So mind your own business." Death spoke harshly.

Life sighed, "fine if that your aim then I'll help you even if, I shouldn't." Life lifted her hand and waved, a couple runes appeared in the air."What are you waiting for its incomplete." Death was baffled Life had never helped him not once since time had began, His older sister's favorite saying was life was hard why should death have it easy.

Life glared at him,"ok, ok, sheesh never in all of existence have you helped and this is the time you choose." Death grumbled. However he raised and waved his hand completing the rune set.

Life shook her head but still pushed the runes into the prison."Well that's unexpected. I guess we'll see how it plays out but obviously it can fail. You should have called me here sooner."

Death glared at her, he'd called her here at only a year into the punishment. She only showed up a year ago and had taken a whole year to decide to help. He shook his head as there was no point in arguing.

At 100 years Daragon experienced the last death, he had no idea how much time had past but if felt like eons.
