At the top of a large tower where at the base various wizards came and went through the door. A man stood with his hands behind his back as he wore a dark gray coat with silver trimming that reached down to his knees. His blonde hair neatly cut as his blue eyes contained countless joys watched below.
Then his eyes drifted away from the tower where a large campus was built where even more were moving about. Magic being displayed and magic experiments happening as his eyes continued to drift outwards to where a boundless sky awaited his gaze. For this tower and campus was in the sky.
Beside him on the railing, a phoenix sat as it too watched what was happening below. The man was Felix and the Phoenix was his pet Athena. For where they were now was his floating island where he built a school nearly seventy years ago. At first not many wanted to attend, but over the years, more and more came to study thus turning it into a thriving school where various magic research was happening.
Thanks to this, new magics were being discovered and even without him releasing new books or trinkets in the shops. The magic world that once made slow progress as it progressed at a snail pace now was like a race car. When brilliant minds come together from across the globe, it becomes amazing what will appear.
"Here you are, Felix."
Appearing behind him, a man with light freckles appeared with combed back brown hair. He wore a three piece suit with his sleeves rolled up. On his finger a ring was worn as Felix smiled at him.
"What's up John?"
"Angel is looking for you. You have another grandchild." John sighed.
Felix's mood suddenly plummeted upon hearing this. He should be happy to have another grandchild, but this son of his? Instead of a wizard, it might be more accurate to call him a breeding machine. This is probably the…seventeenth child of his.
"Should I go castrate him?" Felix asked.
"It could be worse." John patted his shoulder. "At least he isn't like my son. Besides stirring up trouble and spending money like it's endless and currently back in prison. Yours on the other hand actually managed to become the vice director of the breeding animal farm on his own skill."
"He is nearly ninety though and his three wives should be getting tired. Even Angel and Bellatrix only wanted to go through it a couple times." Felix sighed.
John could only shrug at his friend's words since his own wife was similar. So taking a spot next to the railing to look at the scene below. He could only sigh at the sight.
"Have you heard, apparently there has been a breakthrough in dimension exploration research." John said as his eyes glanced at Felix. "It was so grand it was almost like they skipped to the end overnight."
"Really? It's been quite a while since they had one." Felix did all but whistle.
"We have talked about this Felix. You can't just go in and complete other research projects like this." John sighed.
"If I didn't they would have continued in the wrong direction and blown up half the island." Felix grumbled. "It's like they forgot the basics to things involving time and space."
"It's fine. Just don't do it again or Angel will come to nag again." John replied.
"Have you heard about what happened in the China region? They had a massive magical creature outbreak again. It seems that they were experimenting on chimeras this time trying to turn them into war weapons. Massive casualties again." Felix sighed.
"At least it is not a nest of Basiliks like last time." John shrugged. "That was a pain to clean up."
"I froze that entire area, freezing them to death."
"Excatly. Other wizards and non magicals really didn't like you doing so. It's why you are sort of banned from most places. They are afraid you would unleash such magic in their countries." John smiled.
"Huh? I was banned?" Felix blinked.
He usually just came and went in most countries. While he did notice that some countries will send guides for him, none really stopped his travels.
"Well, anyways, let's get going before Angel has a fit." John sighed. "Double so if she brings my wife into the fold."
Felix nodded. While John had married a nice witch, she did have a bit of a temper. Mostly when the two of them get up to things like filling a swimming pool of jello. Another time taking the children on an adventure when they were young and accidentally woke up a volcano demon.
So raising his hand, Athena hopped on and flashed them away in style. A style that will never end as more adventures, magic crafting and life awaited.

End of Story
This is the end of this story and while I originally had a vastly different plan. I sort of tossed it out the window when there was a period of just negative comments (mainly about Angel being a child when she was a child, Felix wanting to teach his friend magic, or the weakness of using his cheat of seeing Magic Paths. (Who knew giving the main character a weakness will get so much backlash and not just making him an invincible superman)) and just wrote whatever came to mind. One such plan was a large battle with Voldemort using the magic weapons Felix crafted like Chastiefol, magic guns and the like. Instead, I just went with an Alpha Stigma rampage and killed off William because I was annoyed.
After that, I sort of just experimented with what I felt was interesting such as doing a couple adventures before returning to the original game plan of teaching. Sadly, due to the game plan I originally had, it just felt strange to write it, hence I just began to skim over it and return to when Felix and his friends began crafting together again as well trying out magic paths from Panlong / Coiling Dragon and Warlock of the Magus World. Both while interesting and workable, sort of just made this already falling apart story even more broken and messy. Thus it was tossed aside.
Anyways, I feel that his unique cheat of seeing Magic Paths has promise. It just might be better in a different type of world, maybe something like Warlock of Magus World, and other wizard theme novels.
Well, enough ranting. This was a fun journey even if it felt more like a chore at the end. For my next story, just stay tuned. (Still sorting out what I want to write.)
As always stay Legendary
