"Am I and my sister not enough for him?"
"It's not like that, Lady Kaya. Master Guan loves you two, especially you, my lady."
"But why did he need another one, especially that arrogant lady?"
"I can't say, but you're the first one in his heart and you'll always be number one."
It's been two years since Guan found them washing clothes at their house, since he saved them from their abusive guardians, since they joined this group who now turned into something massive, and since she fell in love with him. Many things have happened in just the past two years alone that she can't even comprehend how it was even possible. However, for Kaya who knows what Guan can do, even the hardest thing to do can be done.
That's including turning their group into a working organization in just a year, with hundreds of workers and countless more hidden, which she and Umi weren't even allowed to know about. Under Earthen, there are multiple businesses who function solely to make profit. Kaya could still remember those days where she and Umi had to cheat other people for money. She felt bad, but she soon became used to it, and it's not like she wanted to complain to Guan.
Now, however, she was treated like a noble with multiple people (which she refuses to call servants) under her, which she can ask and they'll immediately do it. This is not the life she wanted. She wanted to be with him, helping with whatever she can, assisting on all his plans, and fighting alongside him if something happens. That dream vanished as soon as she found herself unable to Earthbend unlike her twin sister who seemed to have a talent for it.
There was some jealousy at first, but Umi also got the same treatment as her, similar to that of noble ladies. It's not that they're weak or useless, it's because Guan doesn't want them to be hurt. But still, she wanted to help, not to be useless or a burden, so she asked for a martial arts and weapons teacher and discovered that she was very talented at it, especially at holding a sword and hidden weapons. They're still trying to find a so-called "Chi Blocking" martial arts master, but they still couldn't find one till this day.
"It's done, my lady."
Kaya looked at herself in the mirror. She long stopped using the pigtail hairstyle since Guan said a twin high-raise bun fitted her more, and this new style really fitted her once she tried it out. The accessories and expensive golden hairpins that Guan brought her made her look more beautiful.

"It's beautiful…" She tapped the golden hairpin with the symbol of the Earth Kingdom gently. "Thank you."
"It's my joy to serve you, lady Kaya."
I'm sure he will like this one! Kaya couldn't wait for dinner with Guan, the two of them alone.
Recently, as she was talking with Mr. Ron, he said that the restaurant Guan requested to be built was almost finished, so when she was together with Guan, she hinted at wanting to go there and eat during their conversations. Fortunately, he noticed it and asked her to eat with him once the restaurant was ready. More fortunately, Umi was not here for a couple of weeks for her training with Hiro. Even more fortunate, that arrogant Yana was not here as well for a few days. They're completely alone in that restaurant except for the workers.
Just thinking about it made her face hot. Of course, Guan probably thought of this as normal, but for her, it's something special since this is rare. She even felt like the gods were favoring her.
"Let's go, I can't wait to see his reaction after seeing me!"
What expressions will he show? What compliments will he throw at her? What will he do when he sees her? Those were the questions she wanted answers to. Out of all the people she knew, Guan is probably the most apathetic about things he considered common, and it would be overwhelming even for her to see him break it.
They soon left the room and headed straight towards the lowest floor of the mansion where she soon found him, talking to Bumi. He is not wearing his loose dark robes today and instead a formal dark green robe with black edges. His hair was tied in a man-style bun with an Earth Kingdom symbol on it.
Bumi's eyes widened. He then started pointing at her with his mouth open.
Guan took notice of that and slowly turned around.
His eyes didn't widen like what she wanted, but the slow curling of his mouth until it turned into a full smile was enough for her.
She soon began walking down the wide stairs and reached the ground floor with grace, accompanied by her servant named Tianna which she considers her best friend.
Then Guan began walking towards her calmly. Tianna moved away slowly after getting the hint.
He's too handsome! What should I do?! She doesn't know what to say now that she's in front of him. She tried her best to show confidence, since many said men like confident girls, but this is too hard. The only thing she could do now is look down to avoid his gaze and hide her flustered face.
Guan gently touched her cheeks and slowly lifted her head by the chin, trying to make her look at his eyes.
"Look at me, Kaya."
His soothing, calm voice called her name.
She followed and looked at him directly, into eyes so dark that they seemed to be able to swallow everything that met her eyes.
"You're really pretty, Kaya…"
He said it!
"T-thank you, y-you're very h-handsome too!"
Guan merely smiled. Then out of nowhere, his hand moved to the back of her head and pulled it gently towards his lips.
Her mind went off the moment his lips kissed her forehead.
She wasn't prepared for this! This is absolutely unfair. But she likes it.
"Let's go."
Guan held her hand and walked her out of the mansion in silence.
