Chapter 4568: I Know Who You Are Now
As soon as Little Tree gave the cue, Lin Moyu charged into the spacetime tunnel.
He trusted Little Tree completely no matter what was at the other end of the tunnel, he would not hesitate to go through.
The spacetime tunnel was much longer than expected. Though Lin Moyu had been close to the Spatial Divine Mountain, the tunnel kept extending for quite a while.
Little Tree said, "The Spatial Divine Mountain we're seeing isn't in the same place as its real position."
"In reality, it's always hiding in an independent space, overlapped with other spaces, and its location constantly shifts. Finding it isn't easy."
The Spatial Divine Mountain was the true body of the World Shading Beast. The beast's peerless ability to wield space was precisely because of this. For the beast, manipulating space was as simple as breathing.
A thought could create a multitude of spaces, and its trapped enemies would die, lost to endless dimensions.
As Little Tree explained, he was continuously adjusting the tunnel's endpoint, focusing all his attention on tracking the Spatial Divine Mountain.
They spent about half a day in the tunnel before reaching their destination.
Emerging, Lin Moyu saw the Spatial Divine Mountain again.
This time, it was a hundred times smaller than before, but exquisitely detailed.
The mountain's surface was covered in countless mirror like facets, each displaying a different battlefield.
Chaos Child could not believe his eyes. "What is this?"
Little Tree said, "This is the real body of the Spatial Divine Mountain. What we saw before was just what it wanted us to see."
Chaos Child was shocked. "So everything I saw earlier was fake?"
Little Tree shook his head. "Not fake just a projection, but still real. If I wasn't also skilled in spatial powers, and if you hadn't asked to come in, I would never have found this place."
Lin Moyu asked, "If this is the true Spatial Divine Mountain, then what is inside the projection all those beasts are trying to enter?"
Little Tree said, "That's the inner world of the Spatial Divine Mountain within it are countless independent spaces, all different from one another."
Chaos Child muttered, "This is complicated."
Little Tree: "Not really. Based on this real Spatial Divine Mountain as a foundation, it evolved thousands of independent spaces around itself, then used a projection to wrap them up, making people think it was the real mountain.
Then the World Shading Beast created an inner world outside that projection, and within that inner world he broke it down into countless spaces too it's basically like that."
Chaos Child cried, "That's like a Russian nesting doll! What's the point?"
Lin Moyu replied, "There's a point. If you want to hurt the real body, you'd have to break through the inner world and all its spaces, then shatter the projection and its spaces."
Little Tree nodded. "This way, its security was greatly increased."
Chaos Child snorted, "It still died in the end."
Little Tree: "That's different. Even if it were you or me, we'd do the same."
Chaos Child said nothing, admitting Little Tree was right.
Lin Moyu approached the mountain, suddenly alert.
The mountain was not that large not towering to the skies, but still vast.
It glittered with jewel like faces, each mirroring various battles from across independent spaces.
All those spaces originated from the Spatial Divine Mountain.
"Even dead, it still protects itself the same way?" Lin Moyu muttered, probing for Calamity Supreme's great array, but could not sense it here.
Earlier, he could locate the exact position of the array it was within the Spatial Divine Mountain. But now, his perception faltered. The array was not here, but rather inside one of the independent spaces created by the mountain.
Any independent space could be viewed in the mirrors, but there were so many that even Lin Moyu had to search for hours.
At last, he found the grand array on one mirror showing a battlefield without fighting.
"How do I get into that space?" he asked.
Little Tree said, "I can try to find it, but accuracy isn't certain. If we get the wrong space, it's hard to retrace our steps. Or you could refine the Spatial Divine Mountain to control all spaces."
Lin Moyu agreed, prepared his soul flame in his palm and began to refine the mountain.
Suddenly, his soul flame flickered and went out on its own, and a flood of warnings erupted in his soul.
"Danger! Danger!"
He retracted his hand. His soul's warnings had saved him many times, and this kind of alert never proved wrong.
But why, here at the Spatial Divine Mountain, did his soul react so violently even his soul flame extinguishing itself?
He could not understand his soul clearly implored him not to refine the Spatial Divine Mountain.
"Why?"
He could not fathom it and asked, "Is the World Shading Beast really dead?"
Little Tree answered, "Should be, otherwise the Spatial Divine Mountain couldn't be here."
If the beast wasn't dead, how could its body remain here? But if it was dead, where was the danger coming from?
"Did I overlook something?"
Lin Moyu said to Little Tree and Chaos Child, "Tell me everything you know about the World Shading Beast everything, don't leave out a detail."
They realized the gravity of the request and revealed everything they could recall.
Lin Moyu compared that with his own knowledge, organizing and analyzing all the information over and over.
His eyes narrowed dangerously, his expression grew intense, and a faint smile appeared rare for him, only when he found something both risky and intriguing.
After much pondering, he reached a conclusion not absolute certainty, but over ninety percent.
He seldom claimed a guarantee there's always an escape, nothing is absolute.
But ninety percent was enough.
"I finally know who you are!" he blurted, not loudly but with conviction.
Chaos Child asked, "Master, who do you mean?"
Lin Moyu shook his head, "I'll explain later. Little Tree, let's focus on finding Calamity Supreme's formation."
At the same time, he took out the Path Seeking Ring to help Little Tree and ensure he could succeed.
