Black smoke was rising, soot tainted the pristine structures crafted from the pure white stone of nearby mountains, the great ramparts, who had resisted countless beast tides in previous centuries, who had stood like a stalwart guardian in between innumerable dangers, who had protected the citizens from death without even showing even a sign of strain- This seemingly impenetrable wall had been breached, its surface littered by cracks as hook had slammed down upon it.
