Wormhole travel is indeed powerful, but it also requires prerequisites, namely, reconnaissance of the space at the other end of the wormhole must be thorough, and the spatial coordinates of the other side must be known. Only then can two different spaces be connected.
If the situation on the other side is not understood and the spatial coordinates are unknown, the wormhole cannot be created. Even if the wormhole is forcibly created, errors may occur due to hostile environmental conditions on the other side; collapse might happen during wormhole travel, causing the warship to disintegrate in unknown spacetime.
