Will had slept into the next day and had finally woke up during the middle of the day. The battle had really taken a toll on his body and finally after that long sleep he felt energized.
Rising up from the elevated platform, he walked towards the center of the room. "Where are the rest," he thought. His senses finally detected two persons at the extreme edge of the room.
He saw them sitting in a lotus position with some crystals at their front. Looking at the ongoing scene he finally understand what was going on. They were absorbing the crystals and abilty shards they had gotten the previous day.
"How long have they been on it," he thought as he walked back to the elevated platform which served as his bed. From his spatial ring he brought out his own share of the crystals and had taken a lotus position.
Taking a deep breath he slowly connected his consciousness across the energy crystals first and began the intricate procedure of absorbing them.
The energy crystals serve as energy banks and not only that, they can also help in increasing the energy pool of ability wielders.
The energy crystals are of different sizes, the ones they had acquired were the smallest among the sizes.
The hours pass by as Will absorb the crystals and finally he was done. Next, he focused his attention on the ability shards emitting an otherworldly glow. Which one should I start with? Fire or wind? After some moments of brooding he started with the wind shards.
The ability shard helps in boosting one abilty by absorbing the energy within the stone.
The numerous crystals were covered in his energy as he slowly absorbed them. He could feel it, the core within was pulsating with energy and he could feel his wind element growing stronger. Soon he was done with the wind shards and he had started absorbing the fire shards. It didn't take long before he also finished the process.
He stood off the ground feeling reinvigorated.
"Thank goodness, you're finally through." Dren said.
Raising his head up Will noticed the Belle and Dren along with Garrick and his group waiting for him.
"So what's the plan," Garrick asked looking at him. Will stood from the ground and then walked forward. "What else than to hunt and find more of those crystals," he said stretching his body.
"I believe what the military are trying to do is grow our strength quickly. The reason behind that, I haven't currently figured that out. But I believe putting us in the central zone filled with powerful beasts and also resources that would further grow our strength only mean one thing. "
He walked towards the entrance and then looked over at Garrick. "We are heading out for a hunt, I don't mind if you come along," he said. "C'mon now and open the entrance," he said to Zine the guy with the earth ability.
Putting his hand on the ground, the entrance divided into two forming a space fit enough for them to pass through.
"So what should we do boss?" One of them asked Garrick waiting for his orders.
With a sigh he finally commanded them, "You heard what he said, we are joining them for the hunt."
Will and his comrades slowly walked across the area searching for lone beasts. Will had ventured to the extreme end and found out a barrier had been placed around the center ensuring no escape from the area.
'These guys really thought this up,' he thought as he walked forward his senses on alert. Finally he spotted movements and out from a thickset of bushes a huge beast jumped towards him. Its amber eyes and stripped body giving it a menacing look.

His system had already done its job bringing information about the beast. "It's just in the advanced tier." He was confident he would be able to defeat it and had charged forward.
Clad in his armour and his weapon held tightly he spun around avoiding the claw strike from the beast. "Here comes the tail," with a leap he avoided the tail and had swung his sword down amidst air. The sword had passed through effortlessly and wriggling on the ground was the beasts tail.
Will landed on the ground, kicking off the ground he appeared before the beast and with a horizontal slash he had beheaded the beast easily. That wasn't hard, he thought as he flicked his sword before keeping it back.

"How do I get that amount of exp, this is getting harder with each level up." Sigh. "I better head back to them," navigating the forest with his enhanced senses, he had managed to get back to them. Will saw a lifeless beast on the ground and the rest locked in on another beast.

Looking at the ongoing battle he realised they were able to handle it. Spearheading the attack was Dren along with Garrick. Four members of his group provided support while they close in on the beast.
"Where's Belle and the rest of his group. Maybe they had decided to split themselves."
Will further strengthen his enhanced senses and he could finally sense some influx of energy not far from his position. Leaping from tree to tree he had arrived at a muddy area with beast propping out.
He could see Belle and the rest battling the muddy worms their backs to each other. He noticed one of them had been injured and was barely holding on. Belle held onto one of the beasts large wriggling body with her whips and from above little knives pierced through its head with a spin.
Will could see although they were holding on, they would some be trapped by the beasts overwhelming numbers. He stretched forth his hands which emitted a fiery glow. From his fingers several fire bullets were shot towards the area filled with beasts.
The beasts were disrupted by the surprise attack, following along he once again brought out his sword and dived into the battle.

The fighting finally ended with beast parts strewn across the ground. "That was a nice battle," he said with a sigh. He had killed six beasts in total, some which he had just landed the last hit.

Walking up to Belle, he asked, "any sightings of it?"
"No, we are still searching the area. From the map I believe we are close by or maybe Dren and the others have found it." Just as they were discussing, a large explosion occurred sending debris and with uprooted trees towards them.
"What's that, it came from the area Dren and the rest are. Cmon, let's go." With a leap he avoided the debris and had landed on a tree. He moved from tree to tree and had perched at the top of a tree observing the ongoing scene.
"Hand it over," a huge muscular guy with a large group said stretching forth his hands.
"Why should I hand it over, we saw it first," Dren replied standing before the guy.
"I wouldn't ask twice," he said clenching his fist. Dren stood his ground along with Garrick who was a little panicked.
He threw his fist and a ripple could be seen as the hand moved towards Dren at an astonishing speed.
