Seeing Bertha Haines still looking troubled, Marvin Howard relaxed the conditions a bit more.
"It's normal for someone your age to want to date. How about this? Before you become a top-tier celebrity, I won't interfere, but you must date in secret."
Bertha asked, "What if I become a top-tier celebrity?"
Marvin Howard: "Breaking up is your only choice. Of course, if you don't care about your future, then pretend I never said anything."
Just as Bertha was hesitating, her phone in the bag rang, and she used the excuse of answering the phone to call Amos Smith.
As soon as the call connected, Amos Smith's voice, like bubbling spring water, came through the phone.
"Miss me?"
Bertha didn't realize that whenever she talked to Amos Smith, her voice subconsciously became softer and gentler, as if she was coyly sweet-talking.
"No."
"I'm at Starbright Entertainment now, just reviewed the contract. Marvin Howard said that company artists can't date during the contract period."
