Chapter 60 - Redmane: The Prince, Leonidas The Brutal

(3rd Person View)

On the waters near Redmane, several ships sailed towards the island. It appears that the ones invited to the Festival have finally made their way there.

Among those ships was Starrk's. He had arrived faster than he expected.

Starrk stood on the front of the deck as he looked at the island.

"Oi, Teach." He called out, "Any word from Jinbei?"

"No." He turned to see Teach walk up to him, "I imagine he's laying low for now."

Starrk sighed, "Well, here we are." He said, "Redmane. I want everyone to be on their guard. This is a warrior country from what I was told. I can only assume that the people here know how to fight."

He turned to see his crew standing behind him. They were all looking at him.

"Oi Starrk." One of them said, "If this festival has invited fighters from all over the world, is it safe to assume other Yonko crews were told?"

Starrk shrugged, "Maybe." He said, "We don't know for sure. So far I haven't seen any familiar flags on those ships. Could be randoms."

"I think we should approach the island carefully, commander." Teach told him, "We're Whitebeard Pirates, it's no surprise that we would attract attention from either the citizens or other pirates."

Starrk nodded, "Yea well at least we shouldn't be worried about Marines." He said, "I was told they were not willing to get involved. I can only guess that whatever weapons the King has, they're serious enough to keep the Government at bay."

Teach looked at him, "If they're armed with weaponry that can make the Government wary of them, we should be on guard as well." He said, "The Marines are never shy to mess with us and that's because Pops is an old Rival of Gold Roger."

Starrk's expression got serious, "I know." He said, "Aside from getting Hancock's sister outta there, I'm gonna have to investigate that."

Teach raised an eyebrow, "You're not seriously thinking of doing that..." He said

Starrk nodded, "Yea." He said,

"I'll join the Festival."

**************************************************

On the Island, inside a massive castle, there was a loud voice booming through the halls.

The servants of the castle were scurrying away in fear of the voice that was loudly heard.

"WHERE IS THAT BASTARD!!!" the voice bellowed, "WHERE IS RAEGON?!?!?!"

In a massive room that had nothing but paintings on the walls, Frey, the man that met Prince Raegon at the gate, walked in through the large wooden doors. He had an annoyed look on his face.

"That boy..." He muttered under his breath

He turned to one of the servants who merely stood near a table to his right.

"Call him over here." He told the servant girl, "I'll handle him."

The servant girl looked at him with a surprised look on her face. She fidgeted with her hands as she shook a little.

"Uhm!" she said

"Worry not." Frey assured her, "He will not do anything to you. Just be prepared to be yelled at, that's all. He won't mean anything by it."

The servant girl bowed and hurried out of the room.

Frey sighed and rubbed his forehead. He was beginning to be stressed out by one of his nephew's antics and now another one is starting to throw a fit.

A couple of seconds later, the doors slammed wide open.

"Uncle!!!" Frey heard a loud voice boom

He turned around to see a tall and muscular man with black hair and eyes. He wore nothing but leather pants, revealing his scarred upper body. He also had a thick beard on his fierce and hardened face that had a serious scowl.

"Leonidas." Frey said, "Would it kill you not to yell in these halls? Your Father finds it annoying and so do I. Also, you better not have yelled at the servant girl I sent for you."

Leonidas scowled even more, "Of course not!" He said as he clenched his fists, "I would never disrespect the servant girls! They have done nothing wrong to me!"

"Okay, good." Frey said, "As for your brother, your father is meeting with him privately."

Leonidas gritted his teeth, "Uncle! We must do something about Raegon!" He said, "I've had it with him, constantly going out to obtain concubines and locking them on his tower! It is despicable and it brings shame to the Family! I would not tolerate this no more!!"

Frey nodded, "I am aware of your distaste of Raegon's....vices..." He said, "But there is not much we could do...Our hands are tied."

Leonidas walked over to Frey, his large frame towering over his uncle.

"As Princes of the Kingdom, we must set an example to our people." Leonidas growled, "Our Kingdom has been a warrior's kingdom for generations! What kind of Prince would the people think of him as? They already speak behind our backs!"

Frey patted his arm, "I am aware of that." He said, "Frankly, Leonidas, I am glad that out of your Father's sons, you're the one who takes his position seriously. Your other brothers aren't much of an example. Raegon is the way he is, your younger brother is well, too young at this moment. As for your older brother, well, we both know he doesn't give a damn about anything."

Leonidas nodded, "And Father won't punish Raegon because of the damn Festival." He said with anger in his voice, "But there's not much we can do about that. The Festival is a sacred event, even I won't dare to object to that."

"Yes." Frey said, "But..."

Leonidas raised an eyebrow, "What?"

Frey turned around and walked toward the end of the room and looked up at a painting in front of him. It was that of the Germa 66, a kingdom in the North Blue that once ruled it. Frey looked up at the painting with a serious expression. There was no meaning to him looking at the painting, it had no significance to what he was thinking. The painting was merely there because the King admired the Germa as a war kingdom.

Frey was in deep thought, something Leonidas could tell.

Frey then turned to look at his nephew, "What if we could do something about him?" He said

Leonidas raised his eyebrow, "What do you mean?"

Frey gave him a serious look,

"We could prevent Raegon from participating the Festival."
