Chapter 88 - BROTHER, WHY!?

Callum rushed out a rough scoff. As his eyes landed on his Brother's eyes. 'Ah, there was this again, his eyes that reminded me of our Mother's eyes.' Callum thought, but as always he shook the thought away, reasoning that it might ruin his plans. "Now, you've really think that a mere brother like you can stop me from doing this? Elias, we have been planning this! Father-"

"Father broke this plan off! It was a long time ago, Callum. You were the only one who could not let the situation go!" His trembling voice went loud, shouting at his brother. His opened and sweating palms slowly closed within his quivering fingers. Elias took a deep breath, he did not even expect anything from himself but look at him now, confronting his own brother.

Every one from behind listened quietly, not even batting their eyes. Had their attention plastered on them. Ashleah was indeed uneasy with this, her fingers gripped onto her arms that were crossed against her lower chest. She bit her lower lip, directly looking at Callum's jade colored eyes that were focused on Elias. "Nash." Her voice was low, whispering the Duke's name.

Upon hearing Ashleah's voice, he leaned a little closer to her, humming to her ears. "Hmm? What is it?" His eyebrows raised in sync, his red eyes looked at Ashleah's side profile. A soft yet delighted chuckle escaped his lips, she indeed looks like a Princess. The role suits Ashleah the best.

"Your.. curse.. is it really broken now?" She looked at him over her shoulder and a small snicker was made from her lips. "And how was it broken?" Nash was about to open his lips to answer Ashleah's question but was intervened by Elias' screaming voice.

"ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!" Elias bursts at his brother. His hands quickly turned into a fist, gripping to it tightly. He rolled his eyes. "Stop this, Mother loved us dearly and she was the one who realized that this plan would just go to ruins!" His finger points at Callum, Callum which was surrounded by a magic shield he made for himself so that when Elias attacks him again, he'll be ready.

"I have loved Mother with all of my heart but she manipulated you and Father! The only solution for her to stop was-" Callum could not finish what he was saying when a roaring thunder with lightning came to their way, as Elias slowly walked closer to his brother.

As his amused smile, slightly widened eyes, raised eyebrows, he looked at his brother with so much pain as a single tear drop escaped his eyes. "And what was the solution brother? Killing Mother? WHAT FUCKING SOLUTION IS THAT?!" It was as if the skies were roaring with the overflowing Elias was trying to say.

Ashleah took that as an opportunity to call Cason, the Master of the White Magicians swiftly went to the Princess. "Where are the Princes, Cason?" her eyes were wandering around the place they were in. "I cannot see them anywhere. Are they safe?"

"They are currently fighting beside the other white magicians, your Highness. What do you have in mind?" Cason leaned a little closer to the Princess for she was almost whispering while telling him what he should do with the Princes.

"We did promise the Kingdom's that we will send them back alive, Cason. I asked Axis to foresee what was happening to the kingdom's under the Empire, it was indeed a great thing that we had the other white magicians spread around the kingdoms. They won the fight, and knocked all of them out." Ashleah smiled lightly and took a deep breath before finally looking at Cason's eyes. "Bring them back here, we need them. But tell Prince Raven to go where his Majesty is, let him tell to his Majesty that I'm going to do the plan we made."

A grin went across his lips, a quick nod was Cason's response before disappearing within thin air. Ashleah placed her gaze at the brothers again, exhaled deeply shaking her head before stretching both of her arms. The moment Axis and Nash saw what Ashleah was doing, the two men went to position, without any warnings, Ashleah opened up her palm and made a magic circle, creating a magic burst and attacked Callum.

"Shit!" His eyes widened as his magic shield was broken from that single attack from Ashleah. "Have you finally lost your mind!?" He screamed at the Princess before creating another magic shield for himself, before opening his palm, pointed up to the sky, and a falling fire ball with great speed was on its way to hit Ashleah, yet the Princess showed no fear, she did not tremble, not her lips did not quiver in fear, to be exact she even smiled.

Axis eyes went glowing white as he saw the attack from Callum from above, Nash's red eyes went darker red, clicking his tongue inside his mouth. Axis made a white shield above their heads, that melted the fire ball the second it landed on it. Nash with so much speed quickly ran to where Callum was, as his feet landed on the nearest roof, he jumped off and swings his sword to break Callum's shield, which really did shatter in pieces in front of their very eyes. "You piece of shit dared to do those petty tricks on us?" Nash raised an eyebrow and a muffled chuckle bursts out of his lips. "Do you really think it'll work again, on us?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nash and Axis was busy protecting Ashleah, the Princess swiftly held Elias' wrist and took him meters away from where his brother was. And not to her surprise, Elias did not even notice that he was getting pulled away from the scene. He only had his eyes widened, breathing hitched. Ashleah placed her palm on her forehead, snapping her fingers in front of Elias, it brought the man back to reality.

As her mouth opened and was about to tell Elias what the plan was Cason with the 4 other Princes appeared within thin air. "Ah, finally. You guys are here." She opened her arms, and one by one the Princes with their shoulders hanging down low, went to the Princess and tightly hugged her leaving Elias shocked, his eyes slightly widened, lips slowly closed as he gulped this imaginary lump inside his throat. Never in his wildest dreams or imagination that he will see how close the Princess was to those who are below them.

"Princess, I thought something might have had happened to you! Do you even know how scared we were?!" Prince Enver complained while tears streamed down his eyes, he was indeed just like a huge baby. Ashleah giggled, covering her lips with her fingers but quickly wiping the Prince's tears away.

"Such a crybaby, Enver." Blake rolled his eyes at the Prince who was acting like a small child to the Princess, Enver scoffed and pointed at Blake with pouty lips.

"He was searching every single corner for you--" Enver could not even finish what he was saying when Blake covered his lips, earning a smirk from the two other Princes and the Princess herself.

"Let us proceed to why I brought you here. As you can see, Prescott--" She paused mid way and looked to where Prescott was, sleeping peacefully beside Kian. They were both treated properly. "--is severely injured from the battle, and him--" She glanced at Elias who quickly fixed his posture, gulping yet again as he felt their eyes putting holes around him. "--He is the key for his Majesty's plan. The brother of the one that Axis and Nash are fighting."

Their eyes landed on Axis and Nash, having the time of their lives. "So what's the plan, Princess?" Prince Akriel asked, Ashleah smiled and nodded her head at Cason. The Master of the white magicians did the same thing and made a circular shield that was soundproof.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So she's finally using my plan?" His Majesty chuckled as he sat in front of the people to where they were hiding safely.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Prince Raven nodded his head as a response.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The plan itself.. is brilliant. Indeed, His Majesty deserved the throne." Prince Lovis with widened eyes, a smile on his face said with pure shock. "Then, shall we start with the plan, Princess?" His eyes landed on Ashleah who had her arms crossed against her chest, snickering while watching outside of their shield.

"After a few more minutes, Lovis. Look at them, they are having a lot of fun with your brother, Elias." She giggled. They were indeed having fun, Axis gave Nash a heads up before Nash swings his flaming sword to where Callum was, enough to cut his hair that was at the side. "I don't know what happened to those two, it seems like they just awoken some sort of power, don't they?" She looked back at them, but to her surprise they had their eyes widened, lips were hanging low and opened. "What's wrong?" Her brows furrowed.

"Princess, you're glowing!" The Princes said in sync, with that she did realize was glowing. The glow flowed around her as it slowly went up and broke the shield that Cason made. Her eyes widened but what made them shock the most was..

The moment the shield was broken, Callum who saw his Brother was furious. He opened his palm and created a magic circle, using a mystic blast of fire with water, he attacked his brother who was facing Ashleah. But then, the very second the attack was going to hit him, Ashleah who had this unknown glowing smoke around her, touched the mystic blast and it started to fade through thin air.

Thump, Thump, Ba-dump! Elias was furious, as his face went red, furious with what his brother was about to do. "So you're going to do the same thing to me, Brother? How can you do this? Why? BROTHER, WHY!?"
